Rare (ish) anime character personalities that I actually do like!: •When male characters are shy and don’t think highly of themselves at all. Like Tamaki Amajiki from BNHA. •When the girl character is actually well written and not just a shy, weak, fan-service making shell of a character with nothing to add to the story. •When the strong male character isn’t 100% edgy n stuff. A good example is Kurapika from HxH. Yeah he’s a bit edgy and does have a tragic backstory but he still has the ability to show happiness.
Yes I 100% agree. That’s why characters like Emma from TPN are such a breath of fresh air. She’s a smart, funny, strong character. She actually has a personality and acts like a real person instead of just being the week, love interest with little to no personality, which sadly happens to the main female protag in literally every shonen anime. I haven’t fully caught up with the manga yet but I feel like her character’s only gonna get better.
I HAVE SWOLL ANKLES yeah, I feel like she’s a great example of a good female character. I haven’t caught up with the manga either but she’s one of my favourite female anime characters because of how she actually has a personality that isn’t just a love interest.

Best characters in games and animes - sayori: she is really well written and you cant say no, her depression is so hidden and it takes so much trust that she gave to you, and shes also very different than “Dere Deres” cause she only fakes her happiness persona - shouko from a silent voice This was the most different blessing anime movie ever.
I love how well written characters are in dddlc. Sayori's depression was written so accuratly especially the part where she says "everything is so scary" and when she thinks she's selfish just because she told she had depression to the mc.

Dio Brando in the infinity castle arc pretty much everyone was injured and if zenitsu didn’t come more of them would’ve died from kaigaku. plus zenitsu had alot of character development in the manga.
