Linkin Park has always been a “something for everyone” band. And it hasn’t changed. It’s why I embraced them for 20+ years. Pick a mood, pick a song, jam an album end to end. This to me is an excellent album so far !
At least after Meteora, they've never been afraid to try new sounds and genres of music. And that's a good thing. When "A Thousand Suns" came out almost 15 years ago, I was really put off by it, but it grew on me and now I think that album is one of their best written albums to date. Imagine how boring it would be if all we got was 20+ years of Hybrid Theory and Meteroa-sounding music. Great artists make great music.
Only fans that stopped to Meteora say that Linkin Park are over. The band has always changed their sound, so this single is perfect Linkin Park style! Actually reminds of some of the more melodic songs that the old Linkin Park have in their repertoire.
IMO it is strange to be a fan of a group no matter what. I am a fan of praticular songs and particular executions. And main vocalist change everything for me. So the song is ok, but nothing special. And yes I am not a fan of LP last albums, even if it has good songs.

@@Kkrzik Agree, this is not up to the best songs from last albums, there are few bangers there. But its around thjse level of albums in general. For me it is similar as with later albums of LP it was a different sound, which did not resonate with me so much. And here we got a different vocal too. So compared to meteora totally different group, would not complane or be so critical at all if they changed the name of th band.
totally disagree, im fan since hybrid theory, death of chester was a real chock but LP2.0 is really great and this song is amazing. Chester is gone and emily dont want to take his place, she did a really good job actually in my opinion. she deserv a chance !
I agree. Emily is never a replacement for chester. It's more a development after the tragedy of chesters death. I am curious to hear whats coming soon.. The New 3 Songs remind me of hybrid theory and a little of reanim which was following hybrid theory. They deserve a Chance. I am hering linkin park since more 20 years. I like the New Sound

Maybe you hate Leave out all the rest as well. There's a lot of bands making 'heavy' music all the time, so I don't really get why are you complaining about a band that never has catalogued themselves as a HEAVY rock band TO THE GUT. If I want something really heavy I go for a thrash/black/death metal band, not LP, lol.
