WHOA! I’ve also heard a lot of Cruel Summer x August mashups, but I really like this one. Using August’s instrumental with the Cruel Summer vocals totally changes its tone; it sounds more like a somber and nostalgic reflection on a summer passed, rather than this powerful and longing sensation Taylor was inflicting in the original. This was SO GOOD! Hopefully whenever I upload my own Cruel Summer/August mashup, it’ll be half as good as this one 🌼💕
This is such a great mashup! Would’ve never imagined both of these songs being together, but it’s so good and ethereal and still a bop! Btw idk if you accept requests, but just an idea: Need (unreleased from Lover) x Afterglow. The choruses match so well and can even be overlapped (I think the keys are different tho). The theme is also very similar (reason why I think she didn’t release Need but… Need is the prettier sister lol)
