Just insane. Can you all imagine how the main explosion would look like? It would be just crazy. Oh man i wish that was captured on video.... such a shame it wasn't ...
Then turn it SOoo down... volcanoes prefer jamming to the sound of screams, death and destruction? nah , 9/10 volcanoes surveyed actually prefer analog drums, electrically charged synths, & light showerings of intermittent jazz ... your cloud of static radar looms
Most drones don't capture audio. It would just be a buzzing sound of the motors. If the the video was saved locally on a phone/tablet, sometimes the phone's microphone is used and records the audio near the phone/tablet.
Just yesterday I was mesmerized watching jellyfish in an aquarium- this looks similar, yet its many thousand time larger! Great footage and a fitting soundtrack, THANKS for sharing!
Why hadn't I seen this video before? I think it's the best video of a volcanic eruption I've ever seen in my life... You can really get the size of a VEI 6 eruption in high quality, the last such powerful event was only in 1883 with Krakatoa... Amazing, Amazing, Amazing
This was VEI 5 event. VEI 6 eruptions like Pinatubo , Krakatao etc were way bigger than this and had effects on climate This is bigger than Helen's eruption though
Ur right, some researchers claim that the Hunga Tonga would've released around 14.7km3 of ejecta. But the official VEI is an extreme high end VEI: 5 with 9.5km3 of ejecta
What would have been really impressive would be to have gotten any footage that started 3 hours before the beginning of the eruption. That would have impressed me.
It's artistic. It's same as those famous artistic violent movies by brilliant Directors where somebody is being killed while Bach's Air on a G String is playing in the background. I'm extremely Artsy Fartsy so I understand these things.
You actually unironically believe that? You actually think literal geniuses whose whole scientific career is to study climate at global scale just somehow oddly forget to think about the blindingly obvious sun? This is actually how your brain maps out the world; you actually think this makes any kind of sense?
@@KentonBenfield Actually, it is actually true that actual computer models actually omit many actual variables because the actual atmosphere is actually way too complex so the computer programmers actually just make actual guesses on a lot of actual inputs, and adjust the inputs until they get the answer they actually want....literally.
@@myownspiritlevel You said they never include the sun in modeling, that's ludicrously stupid and false. A specific, scoped study might omit certain factors in certain circumstances, in ways that are sensible and transparently reflected in the published and peer reviewed paper, but your disingenuous insinuation that they are so incompetent as to not even think about such a massive and fundamental input to the system they study for their entire professional careers is enough to make me write you off as hopelessly useless on this subject. To anyone else reading this user's comment: safely disregard, they are drunk on anti-science stupidity.
Would have been worth watching more than 63 seconds if would have placed minimum information periodically describing what or why certain things were happening...from air pressure changes, wind directions, speed, air particulate matter, etc...OR anything other than the horrid music someone shockingly decided to insert into this historical event...One thing for an amateur to do that but for professional organization believe anyone could endure being subjected to that noise for ~5min needs to be retrained... My intent is to be constructive not personal at all...and with music or sounds perhaps it is just me...Either way. I barely lasted more than 1 minute & was too distracted to consider much of anything....Of course, I placed on mute and rewatched but as a Professional Geological Organization posting content ...posting your historic content for the world to see... should have had basic, periodic descriptions & I suggest...although months later...to edit out the music...I realize mute will do the same but it is the principle to me...again, I could be wrong...
They wanted to do something like this video of the same volcano but from space ruclips.net/video/v2TlhBT9fuQ/видео.htmlsi=bDMQd02vF2l2zfT3 In that video the music perfectly matches with the eruption but here not ...
Just thank goodness that this happened at Tonga Time rather than at Tea Time. Probably saved lots of casualties because people caught unawares while drinking tea & eating English crumpets.
Must be a Disney executive or another person who pushes Disney agendas on their stuff that came up with this music. Mean fits Disney to a tee lately. Take some thing that is so amazing, So awesome inspiring, something that is guaranteed to bring joy and wonder to people and they ruin it totally with their choice of music. Yeah pretty much explains what happened to marvel movies and shows and Star Wars etc etc. guaranteed money makers and they destroy it, just like this music does to this gorgeous, massive, devastating video game c l
maybe the 8.0 earthquakes previously recorded at a depth of 250 miles under fiji south pacific at the www.usgs.gov were something to know about after all. they were having 6.0s 7.0s and 8.0s
Mute video, watch at 2x speed. You're welcome.
Music gave me a headache.
thankyous sir
MVP
Thank you. That made it 10 times more mesmerizing.

the music just kept getting worse and worse
This is the music chosen as a soundtrack to the end of the world lol
The music absolutely ruins this video. I Would've much preferred the noise from the turbo prop engines.
And this wasn't The Big One. Just a warm up!
Amazing to have this. Doesn't need the musak.
This is absolutely breathtaking footage!!! Thank you so much for sharing it with the world.
Can you imagine what the main explosion of this looked like? It would be insane ....

I feel you👍...Must have been breathtaking
This is an AMAZING bit of footage. Too bad about the painfully mundane muzak track ....
Thank you for sharing this spectacular footage.
Incredible video. So good quality. And the eruption is just unfathomable.
The music is SOOO unnecessary and detracts from the magnificence of nature
Then turn it SOoo down... volcanoes prefer jamming to the sound of screams, death and destruction?

WTF is this music? Where is the original sound of the volcano??

Just yesterday I was mesmerized watching jellyfish in an aquarium- this looks similar, yet its many thousand time larger! Great footage and a fitting soundtrack, THANKS for sharing!
AMAZING!!! SO MASSIVE! GLAD IT'S RECORDED!! THANK YOU!!!
and youre telling me this isnt the real explosion ? damn

@ElementX 9.5km3
The smoke clouds looks incredible.
Quelle prise de vues extraordinaire. Bravo pour le travail et le sang froid.
This footage is the best of all the eruptions out there
Thank you for sharing .
The worst music possible
Good morning, is there a possibility that I can or may use your video in a report (video)?
Kind regards
Andre
Nature showing who's boss in this 64 megaton explosion
the thing is that this video shows only the smaller eruption and not the big one on the 15 January.
@@Black-Eye does any footage of the main eruption exist?
@@derpcadeNot that I know. Only a footage from Tonga but there is no view on the volcano or whatsoever. Still interesting to watch.
A beautiful grey flower blooming at high speed towards the sky.
the ambient audio from some ship around the volcano would be amazing
Is this the moment most of the island collapsed?
Where is the beginning of this clip?
i don't think they were there during the first explosion unfortunately..would it be incredible that footage
Betcha’ the guys in that boat were 💩ing their pants big time!!
Did you happen to get any footage of the beginning of the eruption?
What would have been really impressive would be to have gotten any footage that started 3 hours before the beginning of the eruption. That would have impressed me.
How many tons of carbon dioxide approximately?
0:22 ⚡️
AMAZING !!!
amazing!
The auditory shockwaves it generated were just as impressive. Of course you can't capture that with a drone.
I'm glad you panned into the ocean a few times, where nothing is happening 😆
i wouldnt let them near the controls AGAIN after that! literally, a mini caldera is opening up and you pan RIGHT?! WTF?! I call shenannigans!
Is the color change in the ocean where the underwater pyroclastic flows are spreading down and out from the volcano?
wish it was with real audio
real audio from this drone would it be a mess...they should get some audio recorded by boats around the volcano at that time
dat chunk of land buried under the mushroom cloud is probably at the average size of a city
If only the January 15th explosion was directly recorded. January 14th was a decent bang, but the 15th was an order of magnitude larger.
a scary outburst and the music from ass master part 3 with jenny and claude. doesn't quite fit guys
That MUSIC!! MY GOD!!!
If Rick Wakeman was flying the plane.
I wonder what the climactic eruption looked like.
Music that doesn't fit the video fits trips in the summer hahahahaha

the music kinda goes lol

Two things the climate modelers never include: volcanoes and the sun.
