We have our Bloodgood Japanese maple in full sun and it is glorious. I’m in 5b north of Syracuse, for reference. And it’s over 20 yrs old now, you’ll love it!

Love mine I planted 2 one 3 yrs ago I’m in Statesville,NC it’s in full sun, the other in mostly sun. However I do have irrigation on them. Love your hubbys car! BTW the leaves don’t look red on camera. Mine are red even now well burgundy. But mine were pretty large when I planted them.🤷♀️
@@grammykeatley9944 I think next year after being planted for a year it will get its color. I hope so anyways. I bought it and the leaves looked great. The nursery had it in the greenhouse outside and I placed it in part sun, it still got a little crispy.

Your tree is beautiful I wish I could put one in my yard I've got too much sun I do have one I don't remember what brand it is but it's just struggling cuz where is that it does get a lot of sun I enjoy your video so much thank you for sharing
@@JeanLeach-go6fs I have mine in full sun. If it does well, you will know that you can put it in full sun as well. This variety said that it prefers full sun. So we will see. Live and learn 😁😁
Your tree doesn’t look red on camera? I wonder if it was mislabelled. I planted a Bloodgood in part shade a few years ago and I love it! 😍

@@Tibetan2 well they never bothered the 3 that I have currently. When you Google it it says generally no, but they might nipple on it in the spring.
