I tried to show the actual Spirited Away film to a "normie" and even though they were polite enough to give it a try it was obvious he was "weirded out" by even just the parents turning into pigs. He regularly just watches re-runs of shows like Law And Order or Jeopardy. Why are most people so boring? Do they just forget the wonder of being a child and then just get turned off by anything resembling the unfamiliar? Are they afraid that enjoying something that kids enjoy will make them childish?

Because they didn't have CGI in the 1950s so this being CGI but looking like the 1950s makes it stand out as exceptionally good. Put the same dragon in a modern movie and it looks like crap.
