Hello Saabtech, After months of procrastinating, I finally got around to dropping the gas tank, replacing the fuel line with the black t-connector that plugs into the fuel pump, new fuel pump, new o-rings, new fuel filter and seals and that was quite a job. I want to thank you for your RUclips video on Saab OG Fuel pump replacement, because you really helped me a lot. I have one more step to do tomorrow morning. I just disconnected the high pressure line that connects to the rail and my red plastic line disconnect tool broke. Do I need that tool to reattach the high pressure line to the fuel rail, or does it just snap in place? I had to run that line all the way from the fuel pump because a bad mechanic replaced the fuel pump by cutting an ‘access hole’ in the bench seat, and didn’t properly disconnect the lines from the fuel pump. The black one had a hairline crack and they tried to epoxy it and not say anything. I discovered it on the highway when I smelled gas. Replacing that line was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done…whew! So my only question is: Do I need that red tool thing to reattach the line to the fuel rail?
Hey Saabtech3510, Is there any way to contact you? I’m about to replace the fuel pump and filter on my Viggen and I need to know where I can find the Saab Fuel Pump Lock Ring Removal Tool. Thanks, Adam
Hi Adam, You can actually take a large screwdriver or large chisel, and tap the ring counterclockwise to remove it since you won't be doing it often. (The pump comes with a new ring.)

No. You're good. It just clicks into place when you push it on. : )
Again, thanks for your videos. It really helped
