What did you guys think of this one - did you like her examination of the way we construct narratives and associate fictional stories with our real lives?       Feel like that would be a great name for a children's book series!!! Though I'm not convinced that 'The Royal Porcupine grows way too emotionally attached to the woman he's having an affair with' would be an immediate hit, sadly

    Wow, what an appropriately gothic-themed book for October 31st!! I'd be curious to see how far anyone came out of the novel feeling like they didn't trust Joan as a narrator or indeed whether you thought this was something that Atwood ever intended us to question? Would also appreciate any thoughts on the novel-within-the-novel and any imagery I may have missed!
