I've been watching you since the days when full matte coverage was the thing. Foundations have improved dramatically since those days and our faces show it. Even very mature skin can look soft and natural using this generation of products. Today you look gorgeous. Everything about you is perfection.
I’ve always watched your channel because we have the same skin type. I’ve been using the double wear for years but the past year I have really started liking lighter formulas. I’m too oily for a skin tint so I usually stick to light-medium coverage foundations, and I have been LOVING the cover girl trublend!! I’ve even mixed this with double wear and it became a beautiful full coverage, yet lightweight finish. I definitely recommend.
I used to think I was way too oily for a skin tint but this past year I tried the Milk one and I LOVE it. I've found that using a matte primer and applying setting spray as my very first step have made a HUGE difference in the longevity of a skin tint.
Dior Backstage F&B is my HG! I have worn it the most out of all my foundation in 2021. MAC face and body was my summer foundation since it is in my summer shade and Estée Lauder double wear is my higher coverage foundation that I don’t wear as much now since I found the Dior. Those three are the best for me.
For me, I still go for my Armani Luminous Silk and the Fenty Pro Filtr, they’re always reliable and easy to put on with longevity (I work at least 12hrs a day with a mask on). The latter I even compared with Estee Lauder Doublewear, Mac Face n Body, YSL Touche Eclat, Chanel Velvet). I wore half of each foundation and asked my coworkers throughout my shift and the Fenty stood out. The weird thing was the Wet n Wild Photo Focus was quite competitive cuz it stayed on and stayed matte! I just hated it for the paint smell so I wear the last one on days where I cannot afford to stop n blot. I have tried the Dior backstage and it was like the Mac Face n Body, just meh. I gotta use up so much foundation before I buy a new one but def gonna get the Armani again.
My favorite liquid foundation was the loreal infallible I wear shade 487, it looks like skin on me. I can wear it alone for natural looking full coverage or glam it up with powders
Yes i also love it, my HG 😊, its thin and a very longwear on my oily skin...EL double wear ❤ for a very special occasions...i want to test loreal nude serum and EL sheer next year 😘
@@leesepat5243 i swatched them in store and i can tell you that between 2-3 (like light-light/medium) and 3-4 the diference is undertone and 4-5 is the same undertone as 2-3 but more medium skin...im between 2-3 and 4-5 (was sold out i every store i went) , i think both will works 😉😊
I want to like the Maybelline Urban Cover, but I can't get past the formaldehyde type smell!! Now I tried this a couple of years ago so they might have improved their product.
I bought the NARS foundation on your recommendation. It's truly awful on my oily skin. After about an hour it's sitting in clumps all over my face particularly around my nose. I've tried everything to make it work. Back to Double Wear!
@@naikita87 that's interesting. I use nikkia's setting powder and a smashbox primer. What did you.find worked for you? I'm currently trying a Fenty foundation at the mo (I.got a wee tester pot) and really liking it.
I'm so sad that Ulta doesn't have the nars soft matte! I've been saving my points for a good high end foundation. Hopefully they will start to carry it this upcoming year!!
Rare Beauty foundation in two different shades to sculpt and highlight the face, then I set it all with your loose powder. Best combo ever! And mid to end of day I’ll touch up with your pressed powder.
The Maybelline foundation was the surprise for me! I have this in my collection, but haven't reached for it in a while. I will definitely be trying it again. My no. 1 foundation is The Believe Beauty foundation sold in the US at Dollar General. It comes in a gorgeous glass bottle with a pump, and the formula is better than any high end foundation I've tried!! I wish I could get you a bottle!!❤️❤️🎁🎁
@@krissymc7085 I haven't used it for quite some time, and I'm traveling for Christmas right now, and can't go run and put it on. Estée Lauder double wear stay in place foundation and Charlotte tilbury airbrush flawless Foundation. Drug store L’Oréal Infallible fresh wear foundation!
Dior backstage is my favorite too ❤️ I used to love Double wear but since this one launched, I hardly touched the Estee Lauder. I don’t like the full coverage anymore. Now I’m more attracted towards the lighter formulas, that look natural on the skin.
If you’ve done one I can’t seem to find it 😂 but I’d be really interested in seeing you do a Rare beauty review, if not the line just the foundation at least! 😊
I have normal to oily skin and pre-pandemic I wore the hourglass foundation stick during winter but it was my daily foundation while working at home. Love how my skin looks like skin but way better. Otherwise my number one is Laura Mercier flawless fusion. Started finally wearing it again and it is absolutely perfecting.
In one of your estee Lauder foundation video you mentioned that it doesn't require setting up with a powder. Can you please make a video for light weight foundation as well...like ones which you don't need to do all the steps with and still wear it
Love these types of videos! My favorites for the year have to be maybelline fit me matte and poreless, and L’Oréal infallible pro glow.. haven’t tried a high end foundation I like better than these!
I have a really oily t-zone. I bought Nars Soft Matte in the color Sante Fe. While I do like how matte it is and how smooth my pores look, it just doesn’t compare to bare minerals bare pro liquid foundation when it comes to longevity, and oil control. Nars slips around on my face when my oils come thru.
What about Revlon colourstay sheer I just got it too try on your last recommended and it's fabulous as well as Estee Lauder Double wear and L'Oreal infallible 24 hour foundation love those 3
I have been loving the Milk Sunshine Skin Tint for light coverage days and the Hourglass Vanish Stick for full coverage days. Then in the summer when I have a bit more color or need something to stick through all the oil and the sweat I have been mixing the vanish stick with the Smashbox Studio Skin foundation. They blend to be the perfect color and formula.
Nikkia, I've just recently started getting (back) into makeup after a 15 year hiatus. I absolutely love your videos and I've already bought some of the products off your site, including all the Supernova pigments! I was wondering if you could do a video on your favorite lighter cover foundations?? I've got a few I'm working on, but I have extremely oily skin in the T zone and extremely sensitive eyes so I can't wear a lot or for a long time. Plus, I work from home on overnights, so my time out is really limited and not much for doing a full face all the time. Please??? Thank you so much for being an awesome person who doesn't do drama!!
I recently decided to try a more Dewey finish. Have picked up a couple drugstore ones & been sampling some higher end. I tried the Dior matte one (just wanted to at least see how it was?), Tried their glow one & also the face and body. I wasn't as impressed by the face & body but after watching this thinking I may need to give it another try? Really liked the glow one tho. Also tried the Armani luminous silk. I tried it years ago but was into mattes back then. I was planning on getting a few (not at the same time, lol) and had the Luminous silk on my list. Can't sample that Pat McGrath but everyone is raving so wondering if I should just order it as opposed to buying the Armani? Any thoughts??

My most used were the same as 2 of yours, the new fenty lighter coverage because my skin is doing better after years of rosacea and Dior backstage. The only thing about dior is that it moves around in my makeup bag and one out of 5 times when I open the bottle the foundation jumps out of the bottle onto my hands, clothes, sometimes car so for that sole reason I won’t repurchase it. It looks very nice and lasts and I found a great shade match but 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️

Merry Christmas Nikkia! Can't wait to pick up your maybelline recommendation. I noticed you had the new sheer estee lauder foundation in your thumbnail but it wasn't in the video? just wanted to know your final thoughts on this foundation as I was considering trying this out as well!
The Dior one truly is amazing! BUT it is for my best skin days, when I look fine to start with. I hate layering so one layer it is so the Dior is for days I look fine. Other days I stick to EL Double Wear.
My favourite foundations this year that have been so reliable are SheGlam Complexion Pro Matte Foundation, Phoera Soft Matte Foundation, and any of my Loreal Foundations 😊
I picked up the Pat McGrath foundation over Black Friday, and I'm super excited to try it out. But I'm struggling to get the Nars Soft Matte foundation to work on my skin. It does this weird thing on my chin where it separates into squiggly snake like lines. I've tried a bunch of primers with it, including the Tatcha Liquid Silk primer, which I know is one of your favs, and I just can't get it to work. What other primers do you use with the Nars Soft Matte?
What is the best primer do I get for that as well. I am a new makeup artist and am still learning myself as I go along. Any help would be appreciated ❤️ I had a client who sweats alot and even with a primer and setting she still patched
Love the hourglass Primer! Also elf have a good one too! Excessive sweating is a hard one, sometimes it’s easier to find the cause and trigger of the issue and try to amend that first, but if it’s something like the temperature causing it, we can’t really do much about that so I would suggest a less is more approach with the foundation. ☺️
Nikkia, I've not tried any of these foundations; what gives?! My Peach Perfect foundation is now discontinued, so after this tube, it's gone forever. Dang! I've also been enjoying my L'Oreal Infalliable, and my Teint Idole, but I would like to replace the Peach Perfect one. Hmmm?! I have normal, aging skin, and I have a lot of redness on my left side of my face due to nerve damage from a deteriorating jaw joint. Now that you introduced me to Shein's pink Birthday Suit Primer, you can no longer see the larger pores on my nose! That's the first primer to ever work dramatically on my skin; thanks a bunch, Sisterfriend! Do you think Nars is the one to try first?? I hope you, and your loved ones had a glorious Christmas! Ours was quiet this year, and white. The snow melted with a warm day, and it's snowing again today! Love, and hugs, Nikkia, Sherrey💕💋💕

I can't go wrong whenever I wear the Too Faced Peach Perfect foundation. I never lets me down, but unfortunately it is discontinued. I have a backup! Thanks for the video. I do have the Pat Mcgrath on my list to try.
I wanted to love the Nars one so much! But unfortunately I find that it settles into my forehead lines really bad no matter what primer I use underneath:( And the dior one I really like but the fragrance is extremely overwhelming and causes breakouts because my skin is sensitive to fragrance. Otherwise tho, I’ll have to check out the other ones!
The foundations i used the most this year were Zoeva Authentic Skin, Tarte Rainforest of the Sea and Estee Lauder Double Wear. I had to throw away so many foundations over the last 12 months because before covid i bought so much make up and always had a few foundations open to use them from time to time. But i started working from home and used much less make up in the last 20 months.... -.- Many turned bad :( I have the Dior somewhere and i will try to use it in 2022, crossing my fingers that its not turned bad too. So i will repurchase the Maybelline one to try it again after i used up a few more things.
The NARS foundation is one of the best I’ve ever tried to cover my rosacea without feeling heavy or cakey.
Try the La Mer and Kho Gen do if you can those are the best foundation I ever try
@@yulianagonzalez2428 Nars is better, in my opinion, way better!!!

I can't go wrong whenever I wear the Too Faced Peach Perfect foundation. I never lets me down, but unfortunately it is discontinued. I have a backup! Thanks for the video. I do have the Pat Mcgrath on my list to try.
Could you please give the colours of the foundations
The only one I have tried is the Maybelline. Your other top 4 I have tried and I completely agree with you. Happy New Year 🎊
I wanted to love the Nars one so much!
What about Armani Luminous Silk?
I bloody love these series!! 🤗
where’s the double wear sheer?
Loveeee my NARS Soft Matte. Needed to play with it for a bit but now, ♥️
hi honey, would you like to test my lash lift kit and brow lamination? really suitable for you
OMG your eyebrows 😍 they suit you so well ❤😘
The foundations i used the most this year were Zoeva Authentic Skin, Tarte Rainforest of the Sea and Estee Lauder Double Wear.
Merry xmas and Happy New Years!
I really LOVE THESE Videos ❣
