- Inderal 10 mg tablet (propranolol hydrochloride) is a beta-blocker used to treat tremors, angina (chest pain), hypertension (high blood pressure), heart rhythm disorders, and other heart or circulatory conditions. Inderal la 20 tablet is also used to treat or prevent heart attack, and to reduce the severity and frequency of migraine headaches. Inderal 10 mg tablet is available in generic form.
Inderal la 20 tablet provides propranolol hydrochloride in a sustained-release capsule for administration once daily. If patients are switched from Inderal Tablets to Inderal LA Capsules, care should be taken to assure that the desired therapeutic effect is maintained. Inderal LA should not be considered a simple mg-for-mg substitute for Inderal. Inderal 10 mg tablet has different kinetics and produces lower blood levels. Retitration may be necessary, especially to maintain effectiveness at the end of the 24-hour dosing interval.
Inderal LA 20 Tablet SR may also be used to treat high blood pressure and some types of abnormal heartbeat (arrhythmia). The dose will depend on what you are being treated for and how you respond to the medicine. You should always take it as prescribed by the doctor. It should be taken on an empty stomach and at about the same time each day. You should keep taking it even if you feel well, as you are still getting the benefits. If you stop taking it suddenly, your condition may worsen.
Inderal LA 20 Tablet SR contains Propranolol, a beta blocker. It works by affecting the body’s response to nerve impulses, especially in the heart. It slows down your heart rate and makes it easier for the heart to pump blood around the body. This prevents arrhythmias. Inderal 10 mg tablet also widens the blood vessels in the body for better blood flow, thereby preventing angina as well as migraine. The exact mechanism by which it prevents tremors is not known, but experts believe that Inderal LA 20 Tablet SR helps block the nerve impulses to the muscles responsible for tremors. Propranolol helps block the effects of the chemical messengers namely, adrenaline and noradrenaline, that are produced by the brain and are responsible for increasing your heart rate which makes you feel anxious. This way it helps with anxiety. While treating pheochromocytoma, Inderal LA 20 Tablet SR may be given to block the action of high-adrenaline hormones, to lower the risk of developing dangerously high blood pressure during surgery for removing the tumor.

@@chekri2235 long term use of inderal is not harmful, since your body requires it. palpitations can be side effect of drug. if it persists, ask doctor to change your medication

Sir, मे पिछले एक साल से metoprolol succinate 50 mg मे morning मे ले रहा हु, कभी कभी दिन मैं या अगले सुबह morning मे मेरा bp बढ़ जाता है, ( 140/90) अब डॉक्टर ने दवाई बदल कर, मुझे propranolol hydrochloride 20mg morning मे दी है एक गोली रोज। क्या एकदम से मे propranolol tab चालू कर सकता हु (meroprolol बंद कर के) क्या, औऱ ये मेडिसिन क्या मुझे life long खानी होगी।
