This is fast because it's not meant to be a beginners line dance. If you want to get it, you're going to have to keep pausing and going over the steps piece by piece until you get it. Stop it after this first 8 count and perfect it then continue on with the second eight count and so on. Don't do it in sections like they're doing unless you follow choreography well.
No problem :) I had to keep doing that because my feet don't like to move that fast. Haha. It was worth it in the end though. This dance is so much fun.
Footloose is on sky anytime at the moment in the UK. And I woke up early so watched it. And since i've finished uni for summer and have no plans for the day, yeah i have just learnt the whole routine. Well done mother, 14 years of dancing lessons paid off!
I am so glad you posted this! Everyone had bits and pieces, but it was so dumbed down, and the step sheets were miserable. It's REALLY great that you shared it, and stayed true to the film sequence. I'm an old Country Line Dance instructor who used to teach clogging and line dancing at Sam's Town in Vegas decades ago!

Got it! It's three a.m. and I couldnt sleep after watching Footloose so I just decided to try and learn it! It's not that hard if you focus on one step at a time.
I am gonna used this choreography for an audition of the dance club at my school!! i love it soooo much!! By the way guys the name of the song isFake I.D. by Big & Rich feat. Gretchen Wilson I all ready look it up!!!! THANKS!!! :D
Hannah it is hard but I found it helpful to keep replaying each set of 8 counts over and over until I got it, then I would move on to the next 8 count. It's tough but it is so hot! I am doubling it as my work out for today because I am sweating up a storm!

I have a hard time picking up dance moves and I managed to finally get the dance down. If you have trouble keeping up just focus on learning a few steps at a time (whatever you are comfortable with). Keep pausing and restarting the video as needed. Once you have mastered those then keep adding and practicing and eventually you will get it!

I have danced for a while, and thia is hard to learn. My biggest crtitique for this video is keeping the camera angles the same when showing the steps because when it switches and I personally am trying to follow along it slows be down quite a bit
This line dance isn't for beginners, I've been line dancing basically my whole life and this dance gets me. Just keep practicing, try a slower song than FAKE ID to get use to the steps. When Stoney's in Las Vegas teaches a new line dance or any line dance they start us off with a slower song first and then next time around pump up the speed of the song for a more difficult dance. It took me a few tries to get Chill Factor but after I got it I love it and it is my FAVORITE dance. If you are new to line dancing try a few easier line dances to get use to it.
This is actually my first time seeing the dance and tutorial.. Yes, slow in seeing it I know.. But I wanted to learn it.. Took me looking at this video 5 times back to back But I now know it!!! Pretty sweet!!

I do want to mention though that I believe there are a few discrepancies between your video & stepsheet, for example the stepsheet says 4 walls, but watching your video it looks like a 2 wall dance. yea for my school we're having a big pep assembly and there's a dance off between the sophomores, juniors, and the senior and the seniors are doing this. oh man i can' wait to bust this out in front of 1,400 of my fellow students. last year there might as well make it a bang

The Step Sheet (Part B, Set 2) shows a second 1/4 turn but your demo shows you staying on the same wall after the first 1/4 turn (Part B, Set 1). The dance in the movie seems to have the 2 1/4 turns. Can you set us straight on this? And thanx for a great, fun and very energetic dance!!
