Why do we celebrate 23rd March? Pakistan Day? Why is it of significance? It is important to know what actually happened on the eve of 23rd March 1940 in Manto Park Lahore. So we went to the one person who is known for his memory and civil service for Pakistan. So this Pakistan Day we want to remind people of how Paksitan came in to being. A very close ally to the Quaid who saw first hand how difficult it was to make Pakistan, the sacrifices we had to make and the joys of chanting Pakistan Zindabad! Let’s remind the future generations why we made Pakistan in the first place and why The Youth is important for its protection and prosperity.
Roedad Khan born 28 September 1923 is a Pakistani politician and former civil servant. A close ally and friend of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah. He had a long journey in achieving Pakistan alongside the Quaid.
He was a leading figure in Pakistan from the start to the end of the Cold War. During his long career, Khan was one of the most senior civil servants of Pakistan. Roedad Khan has worked with five Presidents of Pakistan - Ayub Khan, General Yahya Khan, Fazal Ilahi Chaudhry, General Zia-ul-Haq and Ghulam Ishaq Khan. He is an inspirational person whose aim has always been to see Pakistan in the image of how Jinnah envisioned it.
Who says the past stays in the past but for us, history lives on. Like Roedad Khan sb, there are many who have been protecting the history of Pakistan like their own. Jinnah had the youth to make Pakistan a reality and as Roedad Khan sb said, it will be the youth again that takes Pakistan to new heights.

A great asset of Pakistan, still alive. Respect him care for him and learn from his experience. He is living history and clearly recalls the historical experience and how Pakistan came into existence. What we did to this Great Nation is regrettable yet deplorable. We have proved we are incapable of running it in a progressive manner. What an irony we ruined it to pieces and divided this Great Nation, ethnically. Students are the backbone of any nation. They form part of the masses and leadership of Pakistan.
