- After our win over Arsenal in midweek, we had the chance to leapfrog the Gunners with victory away to Fulham on Sunday. Erling Haaland gave us the perfect start from the penalty spot with his 50th goal of the season after Julian Alvarez had been brought down.
Fulham equalised in the 15th-minute with their first effort of the match when Carlos Vinicius powerfully shot past Ederson after Harry Wilson had headed the ball into his path.
But Alvarez fired us back into the lead with a brilliant 25-yard strike that curled into the top corner giving Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno no chance.

Julian came from River Plate (Argentina) that has a great history in terms of the global football history and historical players, much more than the Man City. Man City have not discover a thing they just have a lot of money an they bought a great player from a great team....julian is not a product of scouting

Álvarez was already Southamerican champion, National champion and top scorer with his club, River Plate from 2018-2021 (pandemic included). Also played U20 world cup, and then selected for the absolute Argentina's National team, champion of Copa América in Brasil 2021.
He wasn't a hidden gem at all. He was already there on the jewelry's counter to be seen and bought.

Alvarez was also involved in Haaland goal negotiating the penalty... he also mad a good shot that was stopped by goalkeeper as well as the shot of the number #10. The game could have ended 4 for Man city and 2 for Fulham.

@@golumandal4836 Because ManCity is doing the things better these last years. The other big clubs are arrogant. Sometimes Real Madrid, targets one or two young promises per year in Brazil, no more.
They want and buy "sure but "expensive". That's why Benfica, Porto, Fiorentina, Brighton, Sevilla, Lens, Ajax, etc, those kind of clubs, anticipate and take advantage of the financial urgencies in southamerican (african or asian) clubs and countries. Hence, good and more scouters around the globe, in order to buy cheap (5 to 20 millions) and sell expensive to the big clubs (30 to 120M).
They also have good or better football directors than some of the big or rich.
ManCity, is a mix. And like i said, thanks to The City Group not only have more clubs and academies in every continent, but also more and good scouters like the others clubs i mentioned as examples. Cheers and congrats.

Julián was under Fiorentina radar, but only for 11M euros and some other french club. Neither River Plate and the player wanted that. River wanted 20M Euros and Julián wanted a bigger club... Or the Premier League.

Commending the defense big time! I wouldn't have imagined we'd be able to defend a 3 nil lead against the onslaught of bayern for the whole 90mins with barely any substitutes, same goes here. I can sense exhaustion but even more so the determination to win things and keep going in the end despite it. I hope City sell Alvarez for good $ , any way Alvarez spend most of his time seating just looking as a substitute. He is young and play with energy running a lot and have good eye and sense of the game; Im sure Real Madrid or Barca may find a regular place for him while he is young and growing in the game.
Keep calm Alvarez will play more next season. It's normal for pep to bench a player in the first season unless you're haaland whom scored hatrick on his first few days and became unplayable. Pep hinted at starting both of them together with mahrez aging, Gundo leaving he will become a starter. Going to Barca he will destroy his talent like ferran Torres and no guarantee for a starting position including Madrid because they have excellent trusted players as well
