I've never seen anyone have 4 different outfits during viewings and her funeral. But nothing else for the Queen of Soul
4 different outfit was stupid , this was not a live performance.
The late Rev. James Cleveland had two changes and that was my first time hearing of anyone having their clothes changed. I just Googled an article about this and her niece, Sabrina Owens stated that, "it was just something that they did; the family never gave it a second thought."

@@R.3.D1 Her family planned everything. At the time of Ms. Franklin's passing, nobody had a will. It wasn't until after everything was concluded that those handwritten wills were discovered. They recently found a fourth will and turned it over to the court. Check out this article, "Aretha Franklin had three outfit changes for her viewings and funeral- here's why." Her niece said, and I'm paraphrasing, that they "basically went with what they knew her aunt would have wanted and governed themselves accordingly."
