It was a fun weekend! My girls learned a lot and had the best time!. My 7 yr old was like, "mom, I can't believe I did this and did that...this was the best weekend ever!" Our trailer worked out well with all the new storage and beds. My kid only fell off the bed once! Haha.
If they fell out of the bunk maybe you could attach another pipe, like you did for bunk, 6-8" above each one. That may prevent fall outs. Could even attach a sheet to each and run it under bunk to create sides. They can be removed like bunk that way. Great video and glad you all had fun. Nothing better than making memories.
Really like you cargo set up .... I'm 57 Yrs old and have three adult daughters .... Believe you me, I'm blessed to do things and get a long with them. So much respect for you and how you honor your parents! Life flying by fast ...thanks for sharing life with us. Be Blessed
Hello Samurai Mama, I have a question for you, and hope you can provide some answers based on your experience with your cargo trailer and your tow vehicle (as shown in this video). While viewing this video, I am interested in possibly building out a trailer similar to the 7 x 14 trailer owned by you, and would likely pull it with a used (about 2008) Chevy Suburban (gas engine) I would purchase to tow it. At this point I don't have a truck or trailer, but those two thing are on my "wish list." From my research I have found that the Suburbans get about 12 - 14 MPG (on average, info from FUELLY). But, I am wondering what the MPG would be if pulling a loaded 7x14 trailer just like yours (with some build out done inside, water, Propane, etc.), and if the suburban was packed with gear and food/water, and typical camping gear. Also, I would want to travel to locations like shown in this video (Western states mountain areas with dirt roads). Please tell me what you see for gas mileage with your Suburban (and year/engine) both when empty and when loaded with camping gear and towing your trailer. Also, is the trailer an aluminum frame or steel? One last thing, is towing your trailer difficult when on typical dirt roads (is the ground clearance good enough and at the hitch)? It appears to have dual axles (I think that is my preference too).
awesome video rick !!.. thanks for sharing ur family times with everyone..cant beat family times in the outback..thanks again.. ....Gypsy J van/trailer...
Sound of the stream is my favorite sound, that would be my spot for sure, perfect natural white noise...Although camping next to streams comes with a higher chance of encountering wildlife, being that you guys have trailers, shouldn't be a problem unless Sasquatch tips you over...Ha ha...Hopefully you make it unscaved through the testing(ginnypig) phase of product review....Nice trailers, you've been a fine influence on your daughters and their families...The ultimate compliment...
Portable RO...first time I've heard of such a thing. Thanks! I have Sawyers that removes fertilizers and metals it is the squeeze membrane style, so to get any volume and I haven't used it yet...one.of the Crises deals. But a Portable RO...that got my attention! I've installed a few in Brick and Sticks.. I've always had a cargo build on my radar..I have Envoy like yours and really like getting into locations most chose not to go. But the comfort of a trailer at my age, 67, is becoming more appealing..😁. Don't always comment as I get long winded..
Those Sawyers work just fine but are slow. I know the feeling...we used to camp in the back of our Suburban which was cozy but confining. Thanks for the comment, michael, we appreciate hearing from our viewers.
Nice video Rick, Great to see you out with the whole family on a camping adventure. Those people who leave trash behind make me so mad. If I caught them doing it I would take their picture, a picture of their vehicle and license plate, and I'd turn them in. There is no need for that. That water filter looks very interesting, looking forward to your test and reviews on it. Have a blessed weekend. JT
That campsite was approved by the locals 😁 (deer) What a lovely family gathering in an awesome setting. Thank you all so very much for bringing us along 💋 🙏✌🌎💞
Why don't you like the stream? I have always found the sound of running water to be so soothing. Doesn't matter if it's a brook or a waterfall. Just love the sound of running water.
agree. DIY converted cargo trailers are much better than commercial and will take punishment. But, ya gotta have the time, be handy with tools, and be knowledgeable of mechanicals, carpentry, plumbing, electric, solar, etc.
Awe I just LOVED this video ❤ you guys are Blessed to have each other. Life is short don't waste it on not getting along....live it to the fullest with God and family ❤❤
It's nice to see y'alls family camp together! I've watched as your entire family has built their trailers. 'It's a family affair' certainly applies to yours & Linda's family🌟💛
This is a great video a friend of mine were talking and we wan to travel I got so excited I told him I’m ready let’s go we are simple people and a cargo conversion would be great … he was a marine over 55 yrs ago an he told me when he got out until he decided what he wanted to do he lived on the street he said there are many things you can do well he had a car but he was talking about just staying clean so we have talked and I’m pretty sure when we can we are going to do some traveling just as you both do
Now that was great family time. I miss those times with my parents from my younger days with my brothers, sisters and my time in Boy Scouts but I still do a lot of camping myself. I am like you Rick about the reserving campsites with cheap tents and how inconsiderate people are these days about their trash and other leavings. Always great to tag along in your adventures. As always, stay safe you two...
Thank you, Cmdr Scott. We try to get out more with the whole family but sometimes life gets in the way. Fortunately for us, we still get to see them almost every day, camping or not. You take care....aloha ~~Linda
Such great videos, and those kids will carry those memories for the rest of their lives. Money can’t buy these times. I’ve not been too impressed with my clam, problems with seems ripping and poles coming through the fabric. Only 15 months old. Seem sealed kept dry. Looking at other brands now. But most of all, the family thing is awesome! I’ll shut up now. This was really a fantastic video, gives me, and others I’m sure, great ideas
Hello Doug, our Clam has taken some abuse, having been blown down a few times, and hasn't ripped or been damaged at all, but we only use it occasionally. I'm sure if we used it more often it would cause more damage.
Hi guys , luv the vid and your wonderful family . You are so lucky to have such wonderful kids. I wish I lived in your state so I could bike ride with you and get those cake and pie tricks your wonderful wife makes......Luv ya always and your vids always make me happy to know there are folks like you with kindness and integrity..........much luv
Rick, I enjoy your videos and always learn something from them. Also, thanks for providing the links to the videos in this video's description area, along with the links to products, etc. I will view more of them. I do have a question, which I asked below a Samurai Mama comment below, and I hope your daughter will see the questions and have a chance to respond. I asked her directly hoping she will see it. :)
Samurai Mama is out camping and probably hasn't been able to see your question but I'll tell her about it when she gets back. Thanks for being part of this channel, Steadman. ~~Linda
@@gonagain Thanks. I think this topic (how does hauling a cargo camper affect gas mileage) would be a good one, since your family has three different trailers, and some different trucks and similar builds (not too heavy on wood inside). In particular, I would address the tow vehicle's engine type, year, and typical gas mileage on highway or when on camping trips (that may involve some mountainous areas), and the possible differences in weights of the towed cargo trailers (if one is considerably heavier due to size, another lighter due to aluminum frame, etc.). I think this would be a very interesting video for your subs and RUclips, and your husband would be a very good presenter, because of his experience helping the builds and the family use of them. So, you all may know some things such as "7x14 dual axles are more difficult to back in camp spots" or "highway wind resistance on the larger/heavier/dual cargo camper reduces MPG ..." or similar judgement/ opinions based on actual use. I hope you might be able to address those things. For example is the 7x14 much more difficult to tow, back, maneuver on typical dirt roads and campsites in forests or BLM land? ?? Thanks for considering these questions. :)
You have such a lovely family. Good to see the different set ups in each trailer. I like that deck on the 7x14, you can lower it without going outside and around, easy access for the under bed storage too. Such beautiful country you live in.
Great video as always. I will say a prayer for the tree . That is so wrong. Yes iam bitting my tongue. That filter system looks great andi know you will give it a good test
What fun to go camping with the whole family!! Your girls are beautiful. I had been traveling in my cargo van for 7 years and found garbage everywhere..makes me sad and mad.
Great video. Loved seeing the three cargo trailers and how they were each setup. Looking forward to seeing how the RO system stacks up. We have been trying different ways of carrying our drinking water too
It's so cool y'all can camp together like that memories for many years! Rick did your daughter make a video of how she attached the stabilizers to the rear door? I'm doing the same thing to my CT and I'm not sure how to go about it. I have an idea but I'm always welcome to see how others do things!
Hello Alan, she didn't, darn it. I can tell you that they straddled the vertical frames in their door to give it more support and used a plywood backer on the inside as well to help with the through-bolts. If you wanted, or needed, more support you could take the paneling off the door and install plywood pieces inside to fill the inside gap and give more strength.
After watching youtuber videos, I have changed my mind, and decided I do not want a ramp style rear door, just carry a ramp with traditional swing out doors would be more practical for me.
Hi Cal! I used the 3qt instant pot: Using a boxed cake mix, follow the directions for the cake. Pour half the batter into your greased pan that fits inside the instant pot and cook on high for 27 minutes and do a quick release. Remove. I used a springform pan so removing the cake was quick and easy, then grease it, pour the second half of batter. Repeat process.
Excellent video! Yes, Cargo trailers are built tough! I'm going to steal your ramp racks idea...My 4x6 v-nose toy hauler-camper-theater is quite compact compared to yours. Front 4x5 deck plus roof rack and hitch rack is extra room for 2KW Inv-Gen, LP bottles, Solar pnl, and Awning. 3 cabinets house cooking equip. and the 24"TV/entertainment ctr. Twin tri-fold sofa-bed, 5K BTU AC, elec heat and induction cooktop complete the collection (so far). Planning a folding room pinned onto my ramp that will be outside galley and inside privy w/shower pan. that will tie down on the front deck. Pulling it with a 1.8L Scion XD gets well over 20mpg!
RO has a clean output and a waste stream the waste stream is concentrated waste it is not filtered. Also be aware the RO water also takes out minerals. Pure water is considered hungry water and actually pulls minerals from your system.
Thank you for the info (we do take a mineral supplement), Creek Ranger. On this particular system, the waste stream has gone through the first filter according to the manufacturer.
@@gonagain We have a lot of experience with industrial and marine RO systems and they are great for desalination but not so much for camping. Suggest you get a TDS meter they are very inexpensive and will tell you general water quality. There is a brief glimpse of this on our water system video. After testing we went back to an in-line filter and if water is biologically questionable a sawyer mini or steripen. Even though we love gadgets we find that KISS is a good principle at least for us 🤔
Spectacular video guys! Great family adventure. It was good seeing you having fun and playing together. I liked the rescue video but this is better; way better! 😀
Great segment with all you guys and the 3 trailers. You said that area destroyed 3 trailers? Curious what brand of inferior trailers got replaced by better ones. Could you give us the brand of trailers that didn't last and what brand is holding up better? Thankyou
Most all of the commercially built travel trailers will come apart if you pull them over uneven roads and terrain. The twisting of the trailer box is what does it and It's just a matter of time before the front seams (where the sides meet the front) start opening up. The only trailers that don't do this (that I am personally aware of) are the one-piece fiberglass trailers and some of the Outback brand trailers that happen to be built for dirt road use. Cargo trailers that you convert yourself are the least expensive way to go.
Almost missed this one. That garbage thing is a pissoff. Don't go into the brush surrounding your seemingly serene campsite because about 30 feet in is where you start finding used toilet paper. I shown and explained how easy it it to use a 5 gallon paint or mud bucket with a pool noodle fitted to the rim for comfort. Then a trash bag with a couple inches clumping kitty litter in it. Pull the bag up and tie a knot and dispose in a dumpster just like dog poo or baby diapers. You can store the bags smell free after they're tied shut until you can find a rest area dumpster. Clean easy, sanitary. Leaving bags of garbage is totally unacceptable. You can look through it and see if there is an address label then return it to the hood of their car. Glad you had fun with your family. Take care.
Great video. Great family fun and cake too. Just got a motorcycle rack for my fat tire e-bike. Did you have to make any modifications to your hitch when you changed racks and what if any problems you've encountered.
Enjoyed the video. That new water filter is interesting. Looking forward to your review. The area looks looks familiar. Is that, maybe, Yugo or Middle Fork of the Judith?
When you use an osmosis water filter far as I know takes all the minerals out of water. Get yourself some pH strips and check the mineral account what's the pH is. Your pH should be up around 7 that, if it's done around 5:00 then you don't have any minute left in your water. You can buy minerals made by Trace and had your minerals back in. I had osmosis system in my house one time. And eventually I didn't feel good there is not getting enough minerals in my system. Just use pH and figure out your mineral Collins fan and add minerals in.
Ya'll got it going on now, all family in the woods, it won't get any better than that. Since that stream is contaminated, is there any fish in it, an can you eat them ?, thx for the vid, enjoyed it
The water isn't badly polluted; you should always filter or boil any water from creeks and streams. We've enjoyed fishing that stream and enjoyed the brookies we caught. Thanks for watching, William.
Ah Rick, and Linda, what a Nice video of your Clan and your Caravan Camping. Real Cool. Ya should show More of your family outings. Sorry about those dirty birds who didn't take out their own trash, they give us a bad name. Once about 30 yrs back, a law enforcement BLM Ranger stopped me in the middle of nowhere asking if I had any open containers?? Meaning was I driving with a beer 🍺 in hand?? (and yes I was, but hid the can) I did show him Two Large bags full of garbage that I had collected from campsites near where I had camped. He was So impressed with my Good Deed, he requested that I show up at the field office when I return. When I arrived, they gifted me with an Honerary BLM Stewardship Badge including a hat. All that, for Cleaning Up other bad campers garbage. That made me fell good inside. God Bless Y'all, the Entire Gonagain Family. 🌝 👋
You deserve that badge and hat, Vincenzo! I wish there was more interaction (somewhat) between the campers and the rangers, even if they just stopped to say hello!
@@gonagain Yes, you are right. Ever since that episode I've remained friends of the top law enforcement BLM rangers to this day. It never hurts to 'know them' on any level as they are truly on our side. (and I don't drink beer anymore, even in the middle of nowhere) It's amazing how much Disrespect is out there, with campers who Don't have an ounce of respect for our wilderness and the great Wide Open. It's really up to us, to keep it as clean as possible. I actually don't mind picking up after the bad guys, the idiots who should know better. It's the Least that I can do. 👊
Yes, it's fine for that, and the water would be ok to drink periodically if it was filtered or boiled for giardia or other bacteria, but I wouldn't want to drink it on a regular basis without proper treatment.
:) Thanks MUCH for the share and video! I had to LOL, did the deer stay around for double layer cake too? :) Wonderful tp see whole family out there, and the Girlz! :) ALL THE BEST and Cheers!!!😀😅
Are you allowed to sell any of the products you review? We are trying to do a solar system for a small fridge freezer combo, bluetti or something like that. We just don't know where to start. We haven't found anything in Great Falls.
Hello Wang. You can get the Stealth brand trailer at XB Trailer Sales 825 34th Street NW Great Falls MT 406-552-1515 or Western State Trailer and Auto 4810 Highway 93 South Missoula MT 406-251-1322
@@gonagain Rick I would love to meet you and Linda sometime I'm out mount Rainier right now. Fill me net filming mount Saint helens and then I'm going down and filling Mount Hood and then to Bend Oregon for 6 weeks.
Love your videos! Getting ready to put windows like yours in my Cargo trailer but I have 5/8" T1-11 installed already. My blades are not long enough and I saw yours was very long. Cutting from outside what blades length did you use. Type Wood, metal? TPI's? Thanks! P.S. Enjoy that cake!
It was one large campsite, not multiple campsites, and the Clam was to keep the bugs out when we sat down. I mentioned in the video that we kept moving it into the shade.
I think I know what you're saying now! I won't laugh any more! 🤗 Are there different Price's on those bike's You keep advertising? I am 79yrs. Young and Because I have several Issue's that keep me from walking as I used too, I am confined to my Camp! The nearest country store is only 1 mile away but I have no Way to get there! I rode a bike alot when I was younger! Is it possible to put fat tires On one of these bikes? Would you give me an idea how much they cost? And I do have a way to charge it! I live off grid out in the High Desert of So. Cal.
You bet! It's not easy to put fat tires on a regular bike, but a good bike for you would be the Engwe EP2Pro (ruclips.net/video/nREr0c8A1p4/видео.html) or the Heybike Mars (ruclips.net/video/L9q35A7qwi0/видео.html). These are easy to ride and will handle dirt roads with no problem. Let me know if you have more questions!
Thank's! you mentioned "good for me". What does that mean? What are you taking into account? The main road I would be taking is not just dirt! It also has alot of Rocks! 🥴 I also know From someone who used to ride a bike here That he got flats from sharp rocks! I have been ride a small Tractor so I know about the sharp rock's! I made my own path somewhat Along side the main road! The guy on the bike I mentioned bought fat Tires and didn't get flat's any more! I can't get Pizza delivered anymore because of how bad the "rocky" road is! Coward's!!! You just need to slow down! 🤗 I was told & I do know about this...you have to be carefull because you can get griped by a couple rock's and get flipped! But I made that Road/path next to the main road! 🤗🤗🤗 The road is only 1mile plus a pinch! Why don't you buy a Dog's trailer you pull behind a bike & put some added padding to Make it more comfy!🤗 There are different sizes! You can get one that is enclosed with a screen that zips so she wouldn't get bugs and Dirt on her! That sounds like fun!!! And when she doesn't want To go along you could use it for when your ride encludes going to the store or for Pizza 🤗

You have such a lovely family. Good to see the different set ups in each trailer. I like that deck on the 7x14, you can lower it without going outside and around, easy access for the under bed storage too. Such beautiful country you live in.
Beckalyn is also looking to screen that deck in, possible by using a Clam "Traveler" on top of it.
Looking forward to your review of the water filter. Nice to see how your kids did their trailers.👍🏻
Great video as always. I will say a prayer for the tree . That is so wrong. Yes iam bitting my tongue. That filter system looks great andi know you will give it a good test
I'll have a review on the filter in a few weeks.
if you got cake and then you need coffee. i will stay tuned for the results
The cake was delicious and the coffee too.
Thanks, interesting video, 👍
Dern! I wish I was there!
Thanks!
Thank you, Dee! Much appreciated!
What fun to go camping with the whole family!! Your girls are beautiful. I had been traveling in my cargo van for 7 years and found garbage everywhere..makes me sad and mad.
We find that the closer we are to large cities or major highways the worse the problem is. Makes us mad too.
Great video. Loved seeing the three cargo trailers and how they were each setup. Looking forward to seeing how the RO system stacks up. We have been trying different ways of carrying our drinking water too
Yeah, water being the most important commodity, takes some serious thought.
Nice family
Thank you 😊
It's so cool y'all can camp together like that memories for many years!
@@gonagain Thanks Rick!!
Great video , always informative 👍
Thanks 👍
We enjoy your videos! Could you include the recipe for making a chocolate cake in the Instapot? Thanks
Thanks for the ride, good people!
I can't stand litterbugs and vandals either!
"KEEP ON KEEPIN ON"
Thanks for coming along with us, Papa Bones! Please come along on our next one, too.
Delightful !!
Your outfit sounds amazing, especially the gas mileage. Travel far, travel well!
@@gonagain Thanks! Just waiting for cool weather now...
I’ve got C.W. McCall’s convoy song in my head now.
Oh-oh, sorry about that!
I am really looking forward to your review on the new filtration for water! I was going to order one this morning, but noooooo! It’s to new!
Wait a few weeks to see the review on it.
Rick, you need to bring a weedwacker on your camping trips. Grass is too tall. 😁
We've seen someone in a 5th wheel trailer bring a lawn mower out and mow all around his campsite so his wife/gf could put her lawn chair down and sun.
@@gonagain You should video that. It would be funny to see. :)
@@gonagain
We have a lot of experience with industrial and marine RO systems and they are great for desalination but not so much for camping.
Nice video 👍
Thanks, Patrick!
@@gonagain Thankyou again for the guidance. I really like what I see and have heard about the all aluminum/lighter weight trailers by "Weeroll".
Take care.
Good info for the newbies.
Rick, can you tell us where you found the rear leg supports for the cargo door? How did you mount them?
You can find them on Amazon in different lengths. Like these: amzn.to/4egNNQY They are through bolted to a solid place on the rear door.
What's the difference between saving a spot with a " cheap Walmart tent " as opposed to saving a spot with a Clam Sheller ? Great video as usual.
We were in one campsite that had room for several campers.
@@gonagain Oh !; You were keeping people from horning in on your space. Understood. Thanks for giving us a little time with your wonderful family.
Have you tried Zero Water. I have one I use to make coffee. Love it
Having good clean water makes for good coffee! Thanks, Chris, we'll check that filter out later.
Great video. Great family fun and cake too. Just got a motorcycle rack for my fat tire e-bike. Did you have to make any modifications to your hitch when you changed racks and what if any problems you've encountered.
No problems at all, I just took one off and stuck the other one on. That was the motocycle rack from Harbor Freight.
Enjoyed the video. That new water filter is interesting. Looking forward to your review. The area looks looks familiar. Is that, maybe, Yugo or Middle Fork of the Judith?
Close by in the Little Belts, Monarch area.
@@gonagain Thanks. That's what my wife thought.
I thought there were fires there be careful. God Bless
Thankfully not in this area, but we do get the smoke. Thanks for watching, James.
The burning question is “How was the cake.” Congrats on the new toy. That round is pretty big. Is it a 44 Magnum
It was from my AR in .556. I only got one small piece of that cake, but it was good.
You said crick, i had to subscribe at the moment...
Hi, Is it safe to wade in the stream if as you stated it is contaminated?
Yes, it's fine for that, and the water would be ok to drink periodically if it was filtered or boiled for giardia or other bacteria, but I wouldn't want to drink it on a regular basis without proper treatment.
Could a gmc 1500 tow that 7x14 trailer? I wanna get the same trailer size thanks
Yes, we're towing that with the 5.3L.
:) Thanks MUCH for the share and video! I had to LOL, did the deer stay around for double layer cake too? :) Wonderful tp see whole family out there, and the Girlz! :) ALL THE BEST and Cheers!!!😀😅
Thank you, Marty. It was a fun weekend with the family and that deer was trying to get in the fun, or was it the cake?
Can I ask what that thing underneath your refrigerator on the floor is?
It's a mat to absorb the road vibration and bumps.
Are you allowed to sell any of the products you review? We are trying to do a solar system for a small fridge freezer combo, bluetti or something like that. We just don't know where to start. We haven't found anything in Great Falls.
Hello Diane, please contact me through my email address: gonagain21@gmail.com

Hi Rick, those people have want an old co-teacher told me decades ago....those people's "give-a-shitter is broke." LOL Don
You got that right! We'd still like to meet up with you guys sometime.
@@gonagain Rick I would love to meet you and Linda sometime I'm out mount Rainier right now. Fill me net filming mount Saint helens and then I'm going down and filling Mount Hood and then to Bend Oregon for 6 weeks.
Lets just call the "un-named " type of people "HACKS".
I used a long metal cutting blade, a Lennox. Go very slowly, keep a straight cutting path thru the wood.
@@gonagain thanks!
Do you have a link to your daughter's screen for the back of her trailer??
She bought it from our local Walmart.
You complained about people putting up tent's
To hold a camp spot but aren't you doing the same...🤗 🤗 🤗
It was one large campsite, not multiple campsites, and the Clam was to keep the bugs out when we sat down. I mentioned in the video that we kept moving it into the shade.
I think I know what you're saying now! I won't laugh any more!
🤗 Are there different
Price's on those bike's
You keep advertising?
I am 79yrs. Young and
Because I have several
Issue's that keep me from walking as I used too, I am confined to my
Camp! The nearest country store is only 1 mile away but I have no
Way to get there!
I rode a bike alot when I was younger! Is it possible to put fat tires
On one of these bikes?
🥴 I also know
From someone who used to ride a bike here
That he got flats from sharp rocks!
I have been ride a small
Tractor so I know about the sharp rock's! I made my own path somewhat
Along side the main road!
The guy on the bike I mentioned bought fat
Tires and didn't get flat's any more!
I can't get Pizza delivered anymore because of how bad the "rocky" road is! Coward's!!! You just need to slow down! 🤗
I was told & I do know about this...you have to be carefull because you can get griped by a couple rock's and get flipped! But I made that
Road/path next to the main road! 🤗🤗🤗
The road is only 1mile plus a pinch!
Why don't you buy a Dog's trailer you pull behind a bike & put some added padding to
Make it more comfy!🤗
There are different sizes! You can get one that is enclosed with a screen that zips so she wouldn't get bugs and
Dirt on her! That sounds like fun!!! And when she doesn't want
To go along you could use it for when your ride encludes going to the store or for Pizza 🤗
I appreciate both of you and your comments! But I hear your wife's name mentioned alot but not your's. What is
Husband's name please?
