A representative of NUU participated in the first meeting of the “IROconnect” program in Italy

On November 25-27, 2024, Alijon Oripov, a specialist of the Department of Strategic Development and International Ranking of the National University of Uzbekistan, participated in the first meeting of the new “IROconnect” program within the framework of the “Erasmus capacity building” project.
This meeting was held at the University of Chieti-Pescara in Italy and considered important issues on strengthening international relations and developing inter-university cooperation.
The “IROconnect” program is aimed at exchanging experience between universities in Italy, Spain, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova, Georgia, Ukraine and a number of other countries, mastering new approaches to managing international projects, and introducing innovative technologies.
During the visit, the project participants were also introduced to the activities of the center specializing in promoting the Sustainable Development Goals located in the city of Pescara, Italy. This center is located in the center of Pescara and works in partnership with several international and local organizations. The center implements a wide range of projects on the SDGs, from public awareness campaigns and seminars to cultural events. It conducts research on climate change, energy efficiency and resource management.
This center in Pescara plays an important role not only in promoting the principles of sustainable development, but also in creating a platform for scientific and cultural exchange of specialists and students from different countries.
At the end of the meeting, a representative of the National University of Uzbekistan presented the international experience of the university and exchanged views with the staff of the International Department of the University of Chieti-Pescara on strengthening mutual cooperation.
