You actually have such a gift when it comes to explaining these types of topics. Make very hard subjects and topics simple for understanding by anyone. I was not sure why the graph did what it did, now I have a complete understanding of it all. Another cool aspect is the fact that you didn’t mention P50, but after watching this video I have a clear understanding of why low P50 means higher affinity, and also why myoglobin is storage rather than delivery.
If you have ever looked up Dr. Mike, DO on RUclips I feel he and Dr. Kopot, MD talk with a very similar cadence and intonation. A quick glance at their bios shows they both grew up in Brooklyn which makes sense.
Thank you for the videos, it eventually answered my doubt which is “why does our body needed myoglobin when we edy having a much better carrier like hemoglobin”
Wow, thank you so much for this, I can gladly say that I've understood the difference between the ten and their functions, we definitely need such lecturers 👏👏👏👏
Thanks for your contribution to youtube sir! You make everything so simple to understand and that's what makes you a genius. Congrats on the diligently made background in each and every of your videos, too.
the binding of oxygen to myoglobin, the relationship between the partial pressure of oxygen and the fraction of binding sites occupied by oxygen can best be described as
Why is it that the binding of one diatomic oxygen molecule to one heme group in hemoglobin makes the other heme groups more likely to bind O2 as well? Does it change the conformation?
