Yes, Lisa put in so much hard work, which was why it was disappointing to see her just strut on the stage basically the whole time 😒😒 If you’re Blink, you know how this woman can move. Think of your favorite dancing, and they just basically walked for their performance. Think of your favorite singer, and they just lip sync. Megan did more than Lisa did. Remember Chris Brown VMA performance? People jumping on tables & stuff. But Lisa didn’t need to do all that, she’s an Amazing dancer. I just wanted to see her perform. Even Sabrina didn’t dance, and her set was really good. She did what she’s know for. Lisa did not.

@@KerenPaulsI think criticism is fine. It’s part of artistry. This criticism might help for her growth. Look how Dua lipa rebrand herself. She listen to the criticism and now she blossom as an artist/performer. One thing I can say abt Lisa is in terms of live performance, western media have different approach to it. I can see Lisa’s K-pop idol approach in terms of performing. Too clean, too precise, and calculated. Which is fine but it lacks of character. If u see vma’s performances u know they are known for theatrics, insane stage, not afraid to being messy, and a total standout. Which Lisa didn’t reach in her vma’s performance. I’m not saying it’s bad but it’s not as explosive as her stand trying to paint as!

For me, The performance being underwhelming was mostly Due to the creative direction. The scenary was kinda Outdated. Chairs and Treadmill are So Déjà Vue. Whoever the creative director was, look like they didn’t put a lot of thought into it.
Also Korean camera men do better job, No cap. I remember Blackpink 2022 VMA Camera work was.. MeH !
To be Fair : Lisa’s official VMA video ain’t doing her Justice. Fancams are more captivating somehow.
