Looks like a great solution but I just can't get passed the cord being stuck between the CFast door. Do you think this could damage or warp the CFast door after long-term usage?

To answer this question.....Solidpod production has slowed right down...its really hard to order them. If fact I think they discontinued them.
Your only option now is a similar concept from Zitay. You can either do cfast to 2.5 ssd or cfast to m2 sata.

Let's say you are shooting a documentary, you have just shot 1tb ssd full. Even with thunderbolt it takes a bit of time to dump the files to hard drive. Also having backups would be nice. I guess with Solidpod you'll just erase the 1tb and rerecord or am I missing something here? The device seems great considering the not so great other options but I am still not totally sold. Maybe I just have to try it for my self. Does anyone have any recomendations for workflow?
It's going to be the exact same workflow as if you are shooting with CFAST cards as that's what it is trying to replace, off-load or work straight from the SSD. I think what you aren't sold on is shooting a codec that is 1Gb/s. I would push people towards either the RED Gemini or Canon C300II/FS7 for documentary use that does not have the means to offload large amounts of CRM. Jake
@@CVPTV I think you are right. I calculated that we would need to budget almost around 1500€ for hard drives which is a bit much. The FS5/FS7 seems more practical or even the UMP. I have been very curious of the EVA1 too but the costs of the media is also not very cheap.
@@usernameinvalid2008 I would not suggest the UMP due to it's limiting low light performance. The EVA-1 is also a great choice that I forgot! Jake
Canon XC10 won't record with media door open, is the cable thin enough?
We've tested it on XC15, and the door can close, everything works. The cable is strong enough to withstand the pressure.

does anyone use an angelbird SATA drive?
as on the site of angelbird he does not write that it is accountant with the mSATA, I ask myself the question of the comptatibilité ...

None of Angelbirds drives will work with this. You need to use the mSATA drives I have put in the description! Thanks, Jake

It can but you require an adaptor that NKI also make but it hasn't been released yet. Jake

Whats the best way to get in touch with company? I've already tried the website. Didn't get any support there . Every time i close the door on the C200 it doesnt read SSD , i won't give a record time , nor will it record . But when i put in my regular Cfast Cards it reads them with no problem . HELPPPPPPP

CVP thanks for your reply. One of their reps just got in touch with me . After he suggested I format the ssd in the camera it appears to be working . Prior to that I had formatted it on my windows . I have a shoot tomorrow. So I’ll give an update then . But so far so good . Cheers

Hi! I am having the message "Buffer overflow. Recording was stopped" with this. It has happened twice so far.. the first time after 50 minutes of recording, the second after 30minutes. Once it happens, if I try to continue, the same message appears after 2 seconds.. the only alternative is to change the mSata SSD drive to another one just formatted. Does anyone has the same issue and know how to troubleshoot? thanks!
What mSATA drive are you using?

Does it take CFast cards or SSDs?
The C200 uses CFAST 2.0 cards for CRM. The solidpod has a dummy CFAST card that is linked to an mSATA SSD. Jake
