In june 75,it's the end of the year for the student I am.In Best and in Rock'n'Folk ,the two French rock magazines,I read there's a concert by this new rock band ,Dr Feelgood at l'Olympia, downtown in Paris.So here I am,and they are on stage.The lights are just in their faces.So their shadows are behind them.First tune,don't know what they do at the balcony because I'm on the room downground.First tune first solo and the guitar player crossed the stage,looking so mean.Everybody is on his feet,hypnotised by the guitarist and the singer.Never saw again a crowd in that state.
Did i tell you i have always adored these genius guys Why i ask myself ?? They are a bunch of pure genius nutters who like to please us fans with great classics from days gone by ,I feel very lucky to have followed this band since their beginning ,, what an adventure its been ,,totally wonderful lol xx Jane xx
Has a real thick streak of punk this one. You could easily hear The Vibrators or someone like that doing it. Got a bit of a Johnny Moped or Lurkers thing maybe too
This was their best without him ....very origional chord prog. for R&B.But they quickly lost it on some uninspired stuff. Though Milk and Alcholoh etc.was strangely their most popular it never did click again for me.But this,at least,was a gem

They have a great sound without all the processing of studio experts. The later albums often lack this cutting edge.
Amazing trailblazing band and sadly, two of my old friends lost to us all.

Love Wilco but Gypie is killer too. They both brought a lot to the band. Gypie kills it on this song.
