Have fun with this tune guys. It’s an easy song for intermediate to advanced players but it’s right in the sweet spot for those in the beginner to intermediate stages. More challenging material to come.

This song is why I started playing the guitar - I wanted to play a duet with my friend (he plays it on the piano), every time I hear it I shed a tear for the good times I have had and will have with him. I still cant play it correctly on time, but I hope for my future

Thia was one of the songs my dad used to try and teach me before he had succumbed to alcohol addiction and passed away two years ago. And now I’ve started a journey to hunt down and learn the rest of what he taught me of those songs, now alone so that I may visit him after I die and be able to say as his daughter that I’ve completed what he couldn’t. I hope he can be proud of me and we can talk about music like we did before. Thank you for this cover

Weird I saw this comment, my father in law passed away yesterday and he tried to teach me this song not long before but I never committed to it. Mr Tabs. I've looked around. Guitar tuition is everywhere on youtube. Guitar tab is all over the internet. Thousands of apps offer me the "easiest" way for a few quid. But, you know what? If I want to learn it RIGHT..... It's Mr Tabs EVERY time!!! YOU ARE THE BEST THAT IS OUT THERE!! I can not recommend you highly enough.

This song is my favorite ballad of all time, and one that I'm especially glad I learned how to play. I'm an RN and do music groups for my patients. In my groups I do this really cool (I think) harp harmonics progression that segues perfectly into NEM.

i love this song because it appealed to me on my first week of ever playing guitar but I couldn't get past the open strings part as it was difficult for me but as my technique improved. that was until my technique improved and I got the hang of the intro. but the beautiful part really lies within the fact that as I become a better guitarist and develop my ear, I start to notice tiny details in the track that give it its authenticity and authentic laugh which my beginner self could never notice. truly beautiful.
This is the only video I've seen with accurate tabs of this song. Plus he has the chapter thingies on his video where there are time stamps to skip on which parts I have to work on, they help me so much. Thank you❤️❤️❤️
At 52 seconds, what he plays does not match the tab. Playing is accurate tab is not
Just tuned my grandmother's old guitar and was trying to figure this out by ear. I am a beginner and find even "easy" songs very hard, but I'll get there one day. Thanks for posting this

My very first song i nailed in 7month starting out finger style. I always recommend this song to people who have about year or so on guitar who want to start out playing finger style.

I'm sure almost everyone comments below agrees that your lesson is not one of the best but "the best" on youtube, I've seen other lessons of nothing else matters but none is as close as yours to the original score, especially the solo, it's like listening from the album, amazing and a cut above

It gives me a real satisfaction to learn this song, unlike any other. The melody is so good, special like almost all songs, but much more beautiful and touching. It feels like a personal song, something that i would have put together if i was as talented as Metallica. This is the thing, they know how to be themselves with their songs, be pure, thats why the message is sent so clean. Each note has a specific purpose, if i miss just one the song feels different, theres nothing extra or lacking (im not a musician, just play asa hobbie)

When I was a teenager I got the box Set Live Shit Binge and Purge and learned every song from the first 5 albums. I was obsessed.

Anyone trying to play along, this is pretty good, I've filled in a lot of holes and my timing is 1000% improved!!! Thanks for that Mr. Tabs! However, bars 22 and 23 are not accurate with the sound and tab. These two bars are essentially down stroked.

Base, then just reverse the double stops, then filler notes all the way through.

That’s a second guitar which is not tabbed. Sorry for the confusion! In most cases, I only tab the “main” guitar.

I discovered Mr. Tabs channel on RUclips because Ultimate guitar official tabs are not accurate. I started learning to play with a guitar not so long ago, about a year and a half ago, and even I started to noticed that Ultimate Guitar official tabs are not so accurate. So thank you Mr. Tabs, because your tabs sounds right.
