It is good to see craftsmanship and quality are still alive. I feel that people today particulary in western culture do not apreciate fine workmanship skills like what we seen from these shamisen makers.
would you happen to know what device was used to trim the skin? It looks like it 'sliced' the extra skin off, but somehow didn't ruin the body of the instrument?

what do you use for the strings? what is each string set at for key tones? was that an extra pad glued for the bridge? what do you use for the skins?
is this now a chuzao / jiuta shamisen or nagauta shamisen?
