      It’s hard to forgive yourself when with the decision you made at that time, eventually hurt others and affected their life. Yeah sure it’s mom guilt but this guilt that I feel goes way deeper.
      The decision I made change the course of several peoples lives, including my own, that was not uplifting. At the time I was very shy, scared, immature. Child, at the age of 20 little did I know the decision I made at that would change the course of my life and not for the better.
      To forgive that deep of a wound is more difficult than just stop punishing yourself.

    Now this is incredible! I talked about this to my nearly 18 y old daughter this afternoon! I had a rough childhood and was always remembering what happened, but lately I had an epiphany that what happened was not my responsibility as I was a child.. I forgave my parents as they did what they knew and could.. and I’m deciding to stop torturing myself by bringing up what happened! I can’t change the past but I can change how I feel about it! It’s not an overnight transformation as I’ve been working on it for a few years, yet I’m so glad my mindset changed about my life as a child! Thanks for the great work you do!

    Currently feeling like this over a breakup from years ago atp. I feel a lot of guilt for becoming numb and ending it but in that time I felt it was right for me to end it bc he was hurting in the relationship. We were super young too so that plays a part in our actions as well. Bc he hurt me, once I stopped wanting to be with him I became mean and kept pushing him away when I begged me to stay and told me he’d changed. Now he’s engaged and seems super happy and I feel like had I just let go of the hurt. Been kinder regardless of my hurt from the relationship I’d have all those things he’s giving to her. I keep wondering if I’m a bad person and if God loved them more than he loves me bc they’re building a beautiful life while if been cheating on and in an abusive relationship after him. A lot of guilt has weighed on me this past few weeks. This kinda eases me.

    • @mariee3658
      @mariee3658 6 месяцев назад

      Idk how he hurt you but HE HURT YOU and you only responded to the disrespect because you knew you didn’t deserve that. Who’s to say you letting him back in was going to be any different people can say they change but without enough time to make actual change it’s just words to keep you. Even if he has changed and is happy in his marriage it took for him to hurt you and learn from his mistakes I know it sounds cruel and unfair but the man for you won’t hurt you. Stop punishing yourself by entering abusive relationships because you subconsciously think you deserve it for the void you wish your ex would fill.. Better will come you just have to believe it and love yourself so you can be ready to receive it

    Thank you Julien for all your courage, this video made me cry, I saw myself reflected and told myself that I had done the best I knew how, and I automatically started crying a lot, sometimes I have a judge inside my head. 1 year ago I started in a deep dark night, I taught seduction to other men and something similar to your story happened to me, I realized that I was doing everything to fill my gaps and my pain. I started watching all your content with subtitles in Spanish since I'm from Madrid, and it helped me a lot, every time I feel better and I know it's a slow process, I'm still getting a lot of pain, but little by little I see that things are changing, Now my focus is teaching spirituality and I am sharing your teachings and those of other teachers to the students I work with, thanks for everything.🙏🙏

    Nope . I was a really weak and brain dead person , i didn't speak ever in last 9 yrs if my school lyf.
    My bestfriend assaulted me by always peeking in washroom stall multiple times ehile i went in and when i came out she would say ohh i saw u were wearing _ , then once i caught her peeking in she said u can't hide from me i saw everything i stayed quiet and said to myself oh leave it , when i accidentally hurt them and apologized too they wouldn't talk to me until 3 days. But i had no seld respect when it comes to me i always say nothing , never mention my boundaries never respect myself. A self resoect ridden individual
    A friend was jealous of me so i cut her off when i cut her off i didn't even gave her a valid reason to break up i just said don't contact me ever i won't talk you.
    She involved another ex toxuc friend with her and told ger blatant lies and both were calling be backstabber and cheater in class . I stayed quiet.
    I always stayed quiet cause of my innocence, dumbness, inability to say no, my people pleasing tendencies, my social anxiety,shy , introverted, and fear psychosis .
    I reget my whole existence. Always stayed quiet. Was never straightforward and bold. I stayed queit that's why people torture me more thunking this girl wouldn't speak up so we will do anything to her.

    Oh, yeah? Try me. Apparently I can't redeem myself. I was once taken to my boss's office--with her and her chef colleague--for touching my coworkers too much (CASUALLY on arms or shoulders). I was always very outgoing and tactile at work. The chef told me that we need the workers to be comfortable in a good work environment. That I shouldn't talk about anything other than work and school or tell my stories, because they may be inappropriate or upsetting (can't remember her exact words) to others. Now yeah, I pretty much didn't have a filter, but I don't think I said anything *_horrible._* I only meant to have fun with my crew. I really didn't get specific information from the chef about subjects and references. She liked that I was outgoing, but she made it sound risky and in need of limits. And again, that I shouldn't touch anyone without consent.
    But I didn't _mean_ any harm or discomfort. If I had known anyone would feel either, (though technically no one showed signs), I would not have touched them. And anyway, people casually do it to each other. But despite my side, whenever I expressed my story on YT videos, commenters would still make me feel bad, as if I didn't feel bad enough. "Well, you shouldn't be touching coworkers" or "You sound like a creep" or "The workplace is not where you act that way." I often think "Why can't someone just respond to my story and shame without talking about my wrongdoing or correcting me?" I own if I made anyone uncomfortable, and I would make it up to them if I knew whom. What's it gonna take to redeem myself? Am I permanently a bad person?
