This is absolutely my favorite place u have visited. The non commercialized museum built by a man w a passion. These are truly why I loved ure channel from the beginning. Would love more similar content. Bless his soul.
Thank you so much for keeping his memory alive. People like him with all his cool stuff are becoming rare. And I'm very happy to see you are a fellow animal lover ❤
I was very saddened to learn of Harold's passing. I remember you finding the flyer and reaching out to him. It was wonderful when you two met. I know it meant a lot to him that you cared so much about his passion. It was incredible watching his museum grow. All cats deserve to feel so loved and happy. Very respectful video Jacob.😊 RIP Harold ❤
Amazing video, Jacob. Thank you for telling us about Harold “CATMAN” Sims and his incredible passion for 🐈 CATS. Mr. Sim’s museum is fantastic and I’m so happy to know that it and the shelter will continue his legacy. 🙏😺💚
🐱🐱🐱What a great guy Harold was (RIP).It is obvious from the layout of the shelter that he really understood and appreciated cats. I can guarantee that the rainbow bridge 🌈was full of friends and furbuddies awaiting his arrival that day in November. Outstanding video, Jacob. 🐱🐱🐱
I'm sad to hear that Mr. Harold passed away.in November. 😢 I was hoping to visit the Cat Museum and meet him. He was an amazing man, and fellow cat-lover! Mr. Harold did so much for our feline friends. May he rest in peace. ❤🙏❤ Thank you, Jacob, for brining Mr. Harold and his awesome collections to us thru video. Hugs 🤗 and God bless 🙏
Watching your video today I can really see what a caring person you are. And yes I think you'll leave a positive legacy when you are gone. Keep on being you and keep up the good work.
I love cats, collections, antiques and toys. And I would have loved to meet Harold. Jacob, you have the coolest life, seeing the country, going to all these fun places and having such cool friends!
Hi Jacob this little Museum Is so lovely.. I am sorry you have lost a friend.. He left behind a wonderful legacy. I am sure he Is surround by angel cats...XXXX
We were lucky to have visited the museum and talk with Harold on our first visit back in June.. Such a great man with a mutual love for feline friends.. He will be missed but his legacy of caring for cats will live on through everyone who shared his love for them.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. What a lovely tribute to your friend. It is obvious you had a mutual respect for each other and shared the love of collecting and of cats. My sincere condolences for your loss.
Awesome video We loved this you are such a Super Special person Man you share yourself and you just don’t know how you help people You take us all on wonderful journeys and adventures we would never think to go on life is so busy and people just can’t slow down sometimes with work and family stuff going on It’s truly so enjoyable to leave our hectic lives and journey with you we do every day we never miss a video Keep up the GREAT work ❤❤❤❤
I have loved cats from birth. At one time, during recuse days, I had 15 & our landlord knew. Said she couldn’t tell. I love that he did this. Love to his family & friends. He is certainly playing with many kitties in Heaven
I love cats, and that was a very nice video you did for your friend. Anyone who loves cats is a very special person, awesome, excellent, great video, Jacob. Till the next one, take care, my friend, and as always, very safe travels 😺😺😺
What a beautiful tribute to Harold. I always enjoyed whenever you would visit the Cat Museum and he would show you around and share the stories behind the items in the museum. I hope the shelter and the museum will live on forever as a reminder of him. RIP Harold Sims
What a wonderful place! RIP Harold! What a legacy you left! Cats are amazing animals! I have 2 cats here in Pennsylvania ! 😊Queenie and Charlie say hi!
The antique mall was in an old school where travelers going up to the Smokies could stop & stretch their legs. Great memories & so sad to see it close. 😂
I got to meet Dr.Sims about 15 years ago.He was such a nice man and took me on a mini tour of his museum. This was when it was at the old schoolhouse. I didn't see the shelter tho.
I remember when you first went to the cat. I must admit that it raised my eyebrows. A museum for house cats? Ok. Why? BU the museum was and is still incredible. I've had a couple of cats in my life, and I still miss them. Rest in peace Mr. Sims. I hope your legacy lasts forever.
I've only watched half of this video so far because I need to get to work, but this is already a beautiful tribute to Harold and the Cat Museum. I love how you added footage from old videos as you were talking in the beginning.
I have never been to the museum atall I do love museums all kinds of things also I love cats got two of them I share with my friend thanks for the great video Jacob
Morris was mainly in the 70s. Here is a synopsis: "Morris the Cat, a large orange tabby, was the advertising mascot for 9Lives cat food from the 1970s onwards. He appeared in 58 commercials between 1969 and 1978, and became a household name and national celebrity. Morris was adopted from the Hinsdale Humane Society in 1968, and was previously named Lucky. "
Saw your video where you were talking about train rides and going on a cruise. I went on my first cruise four years ago and it was just a four day cruise just to see if I would like it and it was wonderful. There are so many things to do and see when you get on the ship. And then when you dock into a port, you get to walk around and see the town that your docked in lots of fun. You don’t feel like you’re trapped at all. It’s like being in a whole New World And the ships are over 1000 feet long. You don’t even know you’re on the water …You can eat all day and there shows to go …casino, and the casinos. You would not regret it! Like I said, I went on a four day cruise with Carnival and just to see if I would like it and I am hooked. I hope you check it out
Always a good time here. Gonna miss having Catman lead us through his amazing collection. Thanks again for discovering and taking us to all these interesting places. Being able to go back and just absorb Catman's passion is well appreciated.
I visited this museum with my son back in April, at your recommendation (I had just watched your first video about the Cat Museum). Awesome place! Something you'd never expect to see along a North Carolina mountain highway. RIP to Harold Simms. What a wonderful person he was.
So sorry for your loss, CB 💔What a beautiful man Harold was. If more people were as kindhearted and dedicated to helping animals, the world would be a much better place. The organization of the museum and attention to detail is just amazing. I remember seeing that case full of Chessie System items in one of your previous videos and being surprised that Chessie was a silver tabby. I had only ever seen the logo with the silhouette. My rescued rail yard kitty Chessie was black. He passed in 2021 and you gave a special shout-out to him on a live stream. ❤
When I was looking at the Steiff animals I thought they looked similar to the look of Mister Rogers’ Daniel Tiger puppet. I looked it up & low & behold Daniel was a Steiff puppet 😂
I have the Chessie and Her kittens book 😻 I have had it since I was a child 💕it was my favorite book 💖 I am so glad that the Cat Museum is still going ❣️ I hope to visit it myself one day when I visit my son who lives in Sylva 💞 Thank You so much for being a friend to Harold and for carrying on His legacy through Your videos Jacob 🙏💝 May Harold Rest In Peace surrounded by furry friends forever 🤞🙏✨🐈😇💗♾️
What an interesting place. I never knew this existed, so thank you so much for sharing it with us. Places like this just make me thankful for our nation and its many quirky wonders.
My dad was a train collector. I can appreciate the C and O Railroad items. I loved Chessie the cat as a child. I had a blue sweatshirt with the cat on it and a pin. We did the Western MD Railroad train ride and I bought a Chessie t-shirt at the gift shop a few years ago.
Morning Jacob 🤓📸 good to see u up, it would be nice to see the cat 😺 museum, if i were in North Carolina but i live in Louisville Kentucky were it's snowing, we have only one cat it looks like the Morris the cat 🐈 commercial that would be on the beach for a cat food advertising. Thanks for sharing this it looks interesting. You take care my friend. You showing some of the video looks like you already been there.
Hi there, I love Cats too. I take care of 14 of them. 7 come in the Evening to eat and hang out for a little bit. The others are most of the time home or close to home. Greetings to you all.
Jacob did you ever go to the Altadena Bunny Musuem in California?? The musuem was lost in Eaton Fire Wednesday in California. It was such a cool Musuem. 40 years lost.
Awesome video, very interesting & what a beautiful tribute! I am definitely a cat person. The Louis Wain cats, I wonder if psychiatric drugs in the institution had something to with his art work changing, like maybe LSD 🤔
Good Evening Jacob 🙋🏽 How is Jennifer doing ❓ I'M sorry to hear about your friend passing away . My sincerest condolences to you and his family and friends.✝️🙏
On another sad note, The Bunny Museum in Altadena, California just burned to the ground due to the wildfires. Luckily all the rabbits and cats living in the museum were evacuated beforehand.

I really hate to hear that, I visited there about 9 years ago for the channel
@TheCarpetbagger True Story. I was in California visiting family and saw your video about Musuem. We loved it. Hurts my heart that they lost it.
That's sad.😢
