i totally understand the anxiety w nail appointments. honestly, learning how to do gel x nails at home CHANGED MY LIFE! not only saves so much $$ but so much time 🤌
Hey I just wanted to let you know, you don't have to feel embarrassed about being anxious during a nail appointment, it happens to the best of us and I'm proud that you got through it. And I know people say you don't have to get them done, and that's 100% true but it sounds like you do it because it makes you feel put together (kinda like how you feel naked without jewlery in a sense), so I would suggest bringing a stress balk/figet toy to use in one hand while your other one gets done, just something you can use one handed
yes! I love getting my nails done but I'm also an anxiety girlie. A sensory item is the best way to get through it ❤❤
Same here I had gotten a new tattoo the other day and I didn’t know what to do with my other hand while the lady was tatting my hand so I ask her if I could have a paper towel 😆

Man i hate the nail salon too. It can be so stressful idk the smell the sounds all of it is overwhelming. But the finished product is great 😊

what helped me with the anxiety for nails was going to the same salon every time. I go every 2 weeks to the same person so it’s someone familiar and that knows me and it eases my anxiety so much. it’s like seeing a friend 😂

Destiny, I’m the same way about my nails. I love having them done but nail salons terrify me. I started to teach myself how to do my nails at home and it’s helped me a lot😁

When I first heard about Lightlark, I heard only negative reviews, so many ppl said it was the worst book they ever read. Then the sequel came out and while I haven't heard anything about that, I heard loads of good things about Lightlark lol. I'm really debating on if I should get it or not but those bad reviews are making me scared to read it tbh 😅

i don’t necessarily feel anxious getting my nails done… but I HATE IT. i wish i could just magically have my nails done. i get excited to get them done, but i dread going, put it off, and then when i finally go i just sit there awkward and miserable the entire time. rinse, wash, repeat every time 🙃
