Corey, thank you for sharing a piece of your world with us and giving us so much inspiration! This is my first season of seriously planting annuals in containers, after many, many years of focusing on perennials, trees and shrubs. Although, I did always plant a purple fountain grass with some calibrachoas in 1 large container. Was too busy working for more than that. Then, as happens eventually to all of us, age and health caught up and I can't push the shovel anymore like I did back then. My answer was patio containers and now I have a dozen of them. This year was largely a learning experience of what would grow here, in the desert southwest. Imagine my delight when I discovered your videos... it was like finding a treasure trove and I love your no-fuss approach! I was a bit reluctant at first, about sharing my photos, since I certainly don't have any showstoppers to impress with. But that hesitance was outweighed by notions of you showing us more containers, plus I really wanted to interact and participate and submit a few photos and so I did, and now I feel good about it. I realized that I may not have any award-winning showpieces by any stretch of the imagination, but the fact that I have petunias blooming at the end of July in this blast furnace of a climate is something worth sharing. And I enjoy caring for the plants, the beauty they reward us with, and even the "learning experiences." My first and biggest lesson was not to try to save money by using cheap big-box planting mix. You end up spending more money because the plants won't perform. I changed to a really good potting soil and my plants have thanked me profusely. I have so many ideas for plant combinations next Spring from watching your videos. Thank you!
Tou don't even need to have a give away , your subs would love to show of the plants. Have you met a plant addict yet you don't like to show them off.... every one around me know from may til Oct plants and hummingbird s are my whole personality.. lol we love yo
Corey, I have never seen such a beautiful coleus as the 'Under The Sea Barracuda Coleus', did you grow them from seed? I've never seen them in nurseries, It's a stunning plant. So many beautiful pots!!! Wow!! I gotta say, I am a coleus freak but your problem child is my favorite 😍 and will do that next year for sure! Thanks for sharing! PS, I like bidens and mine are fertilizer freaks like petunias. Last year in different soil I couldn’t keep them under control so 🤷♀️

My planters seem to be on a break from flowering. Must have been a few weeks when temp were in the high 90s (mid 30C) which is not normal for July in zone 3. The tomato plants in the containers loved the hot weather.
All of my campfire marshmallow Bidens died. I’m not sure what I did wrong. I had heard they were easy to care for. I would love more info on keeping them alive and happy. They are the cutest little flowers.
Photos... ugh... 24 hours non-stop rain from Tropical Storm Beryl, followed by 2-hour monsoon downpour, followed by another 1-hour monsoon downpour... my containers are trashed 😢 I went heavy on calibrachoa this year, and they went from stunning to almost dead 😢
I did Daybreak Charm with Bermuda Beach (yea I ended up hating to color combo) but tge Bermuda Beach kinda ate it up. Until I trimmed it back, not the Daybreak is going nuts

Sent 3 photos, supertunias vista “snowdrift” which are getting a bit leggy, dragon wing begonia and my shade garden.
