My dad, RIP, chose it. My brother played in a Doors cover band back in his college days...... Sending my Love..... RIP Jim. Xo Let's learn from him....
This jam got me hip to Jim Morrison as a poet. A girl in my Environmental Science class introduced me to them in my junior year of high school in 2000...something. Anyhow I fell in love with them ever since.
God how I love this song. Love waking up to this...... "Awake. Shake dreams from your hair my pretty child my sweet one, Choose the day, choose the sign of your day, the day's divinity, First thing you see..............."
Since I was a child I imagine The Doors this way: three mature guys maintaining the legend alive, sharing great stories and music with the people. The Doors, was still alive in some way and giving surprises. It's hard to accept Ray is gone, such a talented and nice guy. May you rest in peace, mister Manzarek. Blessings from México.
i've revisited this song many, many times...and i'lll be back many, many more. this song has such a cool groove to it. there's nothing like it, and i love it for that. long live the Lizard King.
It has to be the best song you have ever heard. It just make you feel like everything around you is complete and makes you feel like your floating on a cloud, has to be the best song that was ever created. Love the doors!
The world is in need of this music more than ever. Let the Armys fight let the politicians fight. We must unite and save ourselves..from ourselves.... wait what?
Awake Shake dreams from your hair My pretty child, my sweet one. Choose the day and choose the sign of your day The day's divinity First thing you see. A vast radiant beach in a cool jeweled moon Couples naked race down by it's quiet side And we laugh like soft, mad children Smug in the woolly cotton brains of infancy The music and voices are all around us. Choose they croon the Ancient Ones The time has come again Choose now, they croon Beneath the moon Beside an ancient lake Enter again the sweet forest Enter the hot dream Come with us Everything is broken up and dances. Even though he wasnt the greatest writer or intellectual ever, he understood the greatness of thought, the power of the mind, and the potential of the written word.
Amazing and timeless piece of music art! 🙏❤️🤟. Perfect music when you dress up before the club! The leather pants and my concho belts, have never felt more right!! Jim, my hero! 😊
THIS is absolutely incredible. This ghost song version is different than the one on the album. The slide and certain keyboard settings are different. I never knew this video existed.
The Doors really are one of the most energetically powerful psyops ever created by the military. RIP Jimbo, army man Ray and Daddy War monger. July 3rd is not only the date of Jimbo's supposed death but also the day they retired Daddy's worship. Both missions complete. Ritualistically impeccable and the music endures ...in doors. Bravo sorcerers.
I thought Jim Morrison was traumatized, but not criminal. And traumas can produce art. For a PsyOp, I would come up with more. Look what they've got today.
This song is about the liberaL Paradise. Freedom. The sweet forest, the hotdream, the music and voices. This was about Jims vision of what paradise was. Thats the reaction I get from this song. Its a very religious song.
james douglas morrison...sexy name, sexy voice....the rest of the band members, brilliant as well! but jim will always be my favourite...rest in peace, jim...miss u so very much still in the 21st century! cool video, a bit funky..thanks for posting it!
This is a GREAT song with an equally great video for it. you just don't get a win/win combo like that very often! i first heard this song on Jim Ladd's "Headsets" show, which used to air on Wednesday nights at midnight on KLOS (95.5 FM) in Los Angeles. i loved that show. i don't know what went wrong, but i'd love to have Jim and that show back on the air! (seemed like there were always problems with Jim/KLOS...who knows...) anyway, THANKS JIM for turning me on to this great Doors song! LOVE IT!!
This was included,as a Quicktime File Movie, hidden on the "Extended CD" of 1999's "Greatest Hits" CD,and could only be accessed by acquiring the Quicktime Player.
Jimbo’s never gone!
I remember this specific video really well from my childhood. Back before RUclips, probably in the year 2001, there was this Doors CD-Rom floating around that you could buy. You put it in the PC and it had this video on it. I vividly remember first experiencing the Doors in this exact way as a kid. Someone bought me the disc and thats how it all began. Whats crazy to me is that, when I first found the DOors, either in 00, or maybe even 99, I was 10 years old, and Jim had been gone for 29/30 years. (1971-2000). Now its the year 2018. It's been nearly 50 years since this music has ended and Jim passed. And whats lunatic is that another band like Nirvana was still basically brand new, in a sense, in 2000. Now Nirvana, in the year 2025, will be as old as The Doors were, when I first found them. Damn guys. Its wigging me out... TIME....
este tema es sera simpre atemporal...con este tema fue q mi padre me presento a los doors. vivan los doors..honor y gloria al poeta y rey lagarto jim morrison.
Lucky you!In addition to that version of The Doors, also saw him backing Mike McClure and then opening for Jefferson Airplane, playing solo keys and singing.
R.I.P Ray.. Hard to believe he was 74! My brother and I were lucky enough to meet him and Robby Krieger when they played at a local venue about 5yrs ago under the suedo name The 21st Century Doors..great guy very informal and pleasant to chat with
This is not a song, this is pure art.................
My family played this at the end of my brother's funeral in 2008. It still lifts my spirits......
My dad, RIP, chose it. My brother played in a Doors cover band back in his college days......
Sending my Love.....
RIP Jim.
Xo
Let's learn from him....
Piper Eniko Simply gourgeous!
I will give you the 100th like my brother!
Damn im sorry, i know its too late but im sorry.
it's on my list too.
The most poetic story, told by a legend of musical genius, accompanied by the sound of pure love of art, and delivered with a sense of wonder!
One of the most beautiful songs of Jim and the Doors!
My favourite song all-time, I don't know but it's giving me a special feeling, it calms me!
The boys doing what they do best; virtuoso's on instruments while the poet recites.
the bass guitar in this song sounds amazing
no bass guitar, sometimes robbie plays bass, but robbie plays rhythm and lead guitar, ray plays the bass on his vox continental with his left hand
John Smickle Actually, the bass doesn't come from the Vox, it's a Rhodes piano bass sitting on top of the Vox.
IAmStaggerLee u r rite my friend, glad u caught that, thats rite
+John Smickle it is still a great "bass line"!!
Slap with a fender rhodes is impossible ! Jerry Scheff bass player is mentionned on recording
Wow, Ray, Robby and John could have easily continued as a jazz trio. So talented. RIP, Jim and Ray.
Agreed, Steve. Bummer Ray left us too soon as well.
But wouId never reach the IeveI w/ shaman & accepted that.
The Windows.
I agree. They did record two albums as the Doors shortly after Jim died - Other Voices and Full Circle
R.I.P. Jim and Ray
Una de las canciones mas chingonas de los Doors que muy pocos conocen.
Psycadelic chill before there was a chill category. Awesome grooving poetry. Such great songs...
This jam got me hip to Jim Morrison as a poet. A girl in my Environmental Science class introduced me to them in my junior year of high school in 2000...something.
Anyhow I fell in love with them ever since.
*Jimmy,*
*You are by far the best poet ever.... I love you and so does my husband.... R.I.P*
please dye so we can go on...
👏😍❤❤❤❤🔥
Ja też tak uważam, uczuciowy, romantyczny dobry człowiek. Bardzo go lubię.
God how I love this song. Love waking up to this......
"Awake.
Shake dreams from your hair my pretty child my sweet one,
Choose the day, choose the sign of your day, the day's divinity,
First thing you see..............."
You know someone's a awesome/magical person when they can still make music even when they're dead....JIM AND THE DOORS FOREVER!!!!!
"Where are the feasts we were promised?". Amazing!
R.I.P. Ray, you first saw Jim's true genius. And all together, you all became the greatest music makers & poets. You are with Jim now!
Blessings from México.
i've revisited this song many, many times...and i'lll be back many, many more.
this song has such a cool groove to it. there's nothing like it, and i love it for that.
long live the Lizard King.
jim is the best of his kind. there will never be another
It has to be the best song you have ever heard. It just make you feel like everything around you is complete and makes you feel like your floating on a cloud, has to be the best song that was ever created. Love the doors!
2023 y es una joya que nunca se olvidará
The world is in need of this music more than ever. Let the Armys fight let the politicians fight. We must unite and save ourselves..from ourselves.... wait what?
Luis O its a tru journey every songs a story ..an adventure
Awake
Shake dreams from your hair
My pretty child, my sweet one.
Choose the day and choose the sign of your day
The day's divinity
First thing you see.
A vast radiant beach in a cool jeweled moon
Couples naked race down by it's quiet side
And we laugh like soft, mad children
Smug in the woolly cotton brains of infancy
The music and voices are all around us.
Choose they croon the Ancient Ones
The time has come again
Choose now, they croon
Beneath the moon
Beside an ancient lake
Enter again the sweet forest
Enter the hot dream
Come with us
Everything is broken up and dances.

Jim, my hero! 😊
This is one of my favorite Doors songs, they
have so many good ones. The others Doors are all
very good musicians who clicked well together.
THIS is absolutely incredible. This ghost song version is different than the one on the album. The slide and certain keyboard settings are different. I never knew this video existed.
Those drums.....I start to dance circling and bashing feet, as a bear....unbelievable
My god yes my feet cant keep still. I get happy feet every time I hear this song
RIP Lizard King! (CLUB 27)
I LOVE THIS SONG!!
Everything is broken up, and dances.
Came across this comment as he said those lyrics wicked
This song gets me through any day.
The Doors really are one of the most energetically powerful psyops ever created by the military. RIP Jimbo, army man Ray and Daddy War monger. Can you explain this more? Jimbo was intended to be a psyop - but his internal channel for truth superseded the efforts of the darkness?
I thought Jim Morrison was traumatized, but not criminal. And traumas can produce art. For a PsyOp, I would come up with more. Look what they've got today.
This is one of my favorites! Thank you! I just got a comment on the older version I'm sharing this too!
yea
not really know but one of my favorite... the guitar with thé effects is specially exceptionnal
The music and the poetry...this is great stuff, I'm loving it.
Such a great tune by one of the greatest bands of all time. I'll be listening til the end of time

I always wondered what a 70's, 80's or even 90's Doors would sound like...😁
One of my favorites of all time and all genres, this song is just amazing
Jim will never die. As long as I'm alive anyway.
I just remembered this was released seven years after Jim died
Bailee Wilkinson The song was but this video was made in the ‘90s
This song is about the liberaL Paradise. Freedom. The sweet forest, the hotdream, the music and voices. This was about Jims vision of what paradise was. Thats the reaction I get from this song. Its a very religious song.
The band are on fire here. Great, timeless composition. Could have been released yesterday.
This is the best spoken poetry put to Doors music ..Jim shines with the beat
excellent guitar work
Fucking guitar
This is one of my favorites because it's the Doors with Jim Morrison's poetry and music
I have requested this beautiful gem be played when my time comes.

Yo mi amigo creeo que era mejor poeta, pero tenia una voz única y la manera de interpretar las canciones era lo importante .
Another awesome song from the MAD genius!! My god, he was deep!! I love it!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Cmon one more time,the doors❤️🌹🌹......forever and ever✨✨✨✨✨
A partir de que comenzó el año decidí explorar más allá de las canciones que todos conocen y encontré esta. Una verdadera belleza de poesía.
Jimbo’s never gone!
de hecho esta es de las populares

Musically, the most beautiful Doors song
I think this might be one of my favorite songs by them
Great tribute song to a great man and a great mind........

Such a beautifull máster piece
Cool song very groovey💣
Best on my play list when I'm drunk enough, serene and immaculate
You got that right my friend.
Love his taste in indigenous imagery
"chilling in its beauty" love it, thank you
love this as a song and a poem oh and the kickass tune that backs it up!
R.I.P. Jim Morrison, taken from us 42 years ago from today
Poesía en su más puro esplendor.
Lucky you!In addition to that version of The Doors, also saw him backing Mike McClure and then opening for Jefferson Airplane, playing solo keys and singing.
Muy buen tema... y la poesia de Jim es exelente.
Majestic track. Makes you feel alive in another life ♥️
