My first game was born out of a love of the Pokemon video games competitive scene and a dissatisfaction with how like the Pokemon TCG captured the spirit of taking simultaneous turns with hidden information. It ended up having lots of friction and barriers to entry, but it made it to the playtest stage and I got to play bunch with friends one summer. I think I learned a lot but also it was a huge confidence builder for me.
Solid "first" video! I look forward to watching you grow, keep growing and keep making content before your ready. Also I laughed at how you said "Yu-Ji-Oh!" xD
1:42 What type of game would Dominion fall under? That feels like a living card game, or maybe a self-contained game. I guess there are games that bridge the types?
Been head down on a TCG that takes some unique swings, for many years. Finally pulled it all together, pitched it, and a publisher is launching it next week. Pretty excited.
Cool video. One gripe: you gotta work on your syntax, as many sentences in this video rely on guessing their meaning by similitude to actualy syntactically sound sentences. Like when you said: "we will: make a hypothesis, test it and iterate." The "and iterate" is so ambiguous that it could mean any repetition of a task, in particular ones unrelated to the sentence's topic. What I'm guessing you wanted to say is that one should adjust the hypothesis based on the test results until that hypothesis becomes true. Its an iterative process sure, but not all iterative processes fit the explenation i gave.

The production value is so great! Nice video, keep on it
Great points on modding vs building from scratch. Lower barrier to getting early feedback on your ideas

Yeah in this context it's an LCG since you can buy expansions.

@@cevo70 nice! I’d love to see it. Is it gonna be on kickstarter?
“Games are not art” is the best mindset to produce shallow products.
Tell me more. How do you define design and art?
