- At an airport hangar the next morning, Captain Rich apologizes to Kyle. As a handcuffed Stephanie is led away by FBI agents, one of the escorting agents informs Kyle of the arrest of the Berlin mortuary director, asking her to identify him. She carries the still unconscious Julia through the crowd of passengers to a waiting SUV while the passengers realize the truth. As an act of respect and forgiveness, Obaid helps Kyle load her luggage. Julia awakes and sleepily asks, "are we there yet" as the SUV drives away.

The young actress who played Julia did an astounding job sleeping through the entire film. : )
Buenas noches, sabes el nombre de la canción del final? Please.
Lol
This cracked me up🤣
@@Velociraptor2000 😄🤣
I think she was drugged
Those people clapped when she was restrained as they considered her a nuisance. Now, they can only look on in silence and shame. At least the captain had dignity.
I...HATED that part so fucking much. The second she stepped out with her daughter the theatre erupted with cheers and I was like, YES!!! SHE WAS RIGHT! YOU'RE ALL DICKS CALLING BULLSHIT!!
She didn't have the dignity to apologize to the middle eastern guy tho. Just gave him a head nod.
@@TopDoggg they were both dicks to each other. She thought of him as a terrorist and he thought she was a crazy bitch. Him giving her the bag was a subtle apology towards each other.
@@TopDoggg apologize for what? He was there in the first scene looking at the daughter.
@@shaereub4450 yes that part confuses me, cause like did it happen or did she hallucinate it cause she’s on pills and he was at a hotel. Most of this movie don’t make sense lmao but I still like it
I love how you can hear another kid saying “I TOLD YOU there was a little girl!” Lol 😂
kids never lie.
That’s what happens when parents don’t listen 😂

Lying is a survival skill we learn later@@emilycruz5869
At least the Captain had the humility to say he was sorry!
So did the middle eastern guy who picked up Kyle's bag as they both give gestures of sorry of being dicks to each other.
@@fortminor85 exactly
@@fortminor85 she was right about the hijacker thing the only thing she was wrong about was the person, she accused the Middle Eastern guy just because she “saw him through a window staring through her daughters window” which that part still confuses me.... cause was that real or not?
He has dignity too.
A veces los losiento no son suficientes
One of the few Sean Bean movies in which he doesn't die...
He always dies not this time!! The Boromir disease hasn’t kicked in yet! LOL 😂
@@TJMalana This was after the film that starred Boromir.
maybe the best part of this movie was to cast Sean Bean into the role of someone who in the end turns out NOT to be the usual villain.
Yeeeee
Especially in GOT.
When they realise they were all wrong.
They are fools!
@@gilbertorth184 I love the swell of awkwardness knowing they were DICKS the whole time. Except that ONLY girl that saw Julia.
Broken English, that happens in movies. Everyone forgives each other and forgets. I believe that’s a moral within a movie or a story. The conflict gets resolved when they made a mistake. That’s a meaning behind the common part of everyone making mistakes
Lol 😂 true
@@fortminor85 wait who was the only one?
I would’ve flipped everybody off
Thats exactly what my mom said the first time she watched this
I would've as well. All except for the captain, who had the decency to admit to her that he was wrong, and that one kid who claimed she saw her daughter. I would've walked up to her and said thank you for believing me. And I would've walked up straight to that therapist and tell her that her therapy license will be getting revoked.
@@SnailMaster and the Middle Eastern guy she accused of being the hijacker
@@itsleetv935 they both gave a silent apology when he handed her the bag.
The look on the therapist's face after all that conversation about losing a loved one went for nothing. The embarrassment 😂😂. 1:32
David Gewargis you love to see it! 😭
I know right
From my experience therapist/psychiatrist are people who often need help themselves.
Now who's crazy you therapist.
Una patada en los eggs a todos los terapeutas jajjajaja
who's crazy now, huh?
HUH HUH
The part where the guy helps her with her bag is so touching
Touching he pushed her into a chair for her to be put into handcuffs he was ashamed and now playing gentleman
this movie is something else like I was like whaaat, the plot twist.. And I feel bad for the Arab guy like he got blamed but I'm really happy with the ending.
@@aminatadiallokhan8613 you can’t say much about that because he didn’t know that she was telling the truth because she accused him of doing something he didn’t do so he might been a little upset, but that show that he didn’t show her hold a grudge towards her because he could’ve held a grudge for her, accuse him because of his race to because that makes it hard enough for his race but he didn’t hold a grudge. He understood when she found her daughter I think he understood her, so yeah it’s always touching because again you can’t blame him for pushing into the chair and her getting handcuffed because she accused him of some thing and he probably thought she was crazy because she accused of something that he didn’t do.
@Tammie Page He absolutely SHOULD'VE held a grudge. She accuses him, turns around and she gets accused, and he has that peace offering at the end, and she doesn't even say thank you to him. That part had me livid in the theater
@@JloveLamarI just watched this movie now and was thinking this lady had the audacity to say to the captain that when she finds her daughter, everyone should be offering her an apology. Yet when she full on blamed this dude with no evidence at all, she doesn't even say sorry to him for what she caused him. That's poor writing right there, I would've held a serious grudge with her bitch ass whether she was telling the truth or not
i would've felt so awkward if i were one of the passengers lmao.
Awkward? Evaporate !!
Same 💔
"Are we there yet," makes her happy because she then realizes her baby girl has no recollection of the horror that she was put through.
As it should be
After wards she sued the airline and the pilot and crew lost their jobs and she was awards 1.9 million.

1:33 the therapist is so gonna lose her job
😂 🤣 i know right
You think so? Why?
Ojalá que haya pasado porque se lo busco
The therapist had nothing to do with it. She is just a passenger.
At the very least go on sabbatical and get more training
Such a wonderful ending. Captain apologizes to Kyle and she reunites with her daughter
What about the Arab guy tho lol she profiled him and scratched his face up
@@TopDoggg oh yeah. They forgive each other as well
Jodi Foster as a mom is perfect
Yes she is. This flick came out the same year as Inside Man but I like this one better
It's understandable that the passengers thought she was crazy. But the flight attendants , naaaah. As one myself, I can tell you. We notice, cuz it's part of our job to be alert and take in our passengers visually.
Agreed, I get Kate Beahan's character would've been able to manipulate the situation like deliberately miscounting the seats, distract her colleagues while the girl is being moved etc. But a lot of moments from the crew can't be excused - Erika Christensen's character in particular was incompetent, how could she not notice the girl? I understand she checked 400 people but they were literally the first passengers onboard.
Just watched this intense film again (2nd).
In my opinion Jodie Foster is the only actor who could portray a character that could be written for either sex.
That's how great she is, my #1 favorite actor , such a talented and highly intelligent woman, completely respect her.
Is that why her character is named Kyle?
One of my fav scene ever
If i was Kyle in this situation I'd be flipping everybody off on both sides
how would u carry Julia
@@chrisgomez1840 Julia wouldn't be there I meant if i was Kyle's situation
That wouldnt help... the passengers were victims to..of mass hysteria
What good would that do other than maybe make you feel better? You know as well as I do in a real life situation nobody would believe her either.
"She never gave up"
The child is so cute..
Makes my heart melt.
"Can it wait?"
"The van's ready."
Well that was a nice 10 seconds
This movie was great, fun. The only thing I hated were the snobby parents, the fake Air Marshall, and that stewardess.
This movie was amazing. I remember when I first watched it. I was freaked out 😂😂😂
I still don’t get how they didn’t see her when she went to a whole other seat that was all the way in the back??
Great point. Someone must have noticed the seat change and that she had a daughter with her.
This scene and the one before this are two of the most satisfying scenes in movie history. I don't even know how much I've replayed the ending. Also, am I the only one who was kinda shipping Kyle and the pilot by the end?
Thank God I wasn't the only one! I feel bad for doing so but still!
If that was me I would have walked passed and clapped back at them the same they did to her when she was handcuffed on the plane.
Fuck yeah! Me too!!
X3
I would have told the pilot to shove his apology where the sun don’t shine and then looked at the other passengers and asked if they believed me now!
I would, too, to make sure they felt sorry for they way the acted.
How can you blame them for not believing her with the information they got? He even ordered a search for her daughter after he was told that the daugher hasn´t checked in and the mother didn´t have the plane ticket for her daughter.
@@TylerDurden-td2ygthat's exactly right.
I always thought that the child look identical to the villain
true, his daughter looks a lot like marlene aswell
I find the cutest moment when she wakes up and Says Mommy? And Says it again then as usual Are we there yet? To cute the actress who played Julia did Fantastic pretending to be asleep throughout the whole film.
The therapists look says it all 1:32 … an epic fail 😂
Used to have this movie on my laptop, before it broke down. Don't know how many times I've watched the ending alone.
I am so mad she not apologise to the man that she accused kidnapped her daughter. She didn't even say thank you when he picked up her bag.
The apologies and understanding from both sides were unspoken. If you paid attention, you could see that there is an entire unspoken conversation all in the simple act of handing her her bag.
the look and facial expression says it all. speech wasn't necessary at all.
Exactly, and for those saying she apologised from the look and facial expressions without saying it, well the captain did apologise though when he realised his mistake of just not believing her, but on the other side she accused a man of kidnapping and maybe killing her girl and she attacked him, but Nooo she doesn't need to apologise cuz the cause was good ( her beeing a mom )
@@olivergoogler5244 true
@@EddieJrDigiarts I mean she was delusional saying that guy was watching her at her hotel
All of the passengers that clapped stayed quiet. While we can hear the kids that sat in front of her said, “She saved us.”
Though that was very Karen of her blaming the Middle Eastern guy. But I have a theory that Carson hired Middle Eastern men to sneak around and peek across from Kyle’s apartment to sort of make her paranoid of terrorists. Because he was also behind the death of Kyle’s husband, David, where he had people throw David off of the apartment roof. Plus during boarding, Kyle and Julia were the first to board the plane and were the only ones on the upper level entrance while the rest were directed to the lower entrance - a ploy to make sure nobody would see Kyle and Julia together. Probably the stewardess Stephanie was behind that, because she was the one who purposefully not count Julia on the plane. Plus she was the one who claimed she had no record of Julia on the manifest as she was in charge of that. Carson had it all covered because of his accomplice Stephanie. So my theory is that, which is a stretch, Carson or Stephanie put the Middle Eastern passengers on that flight to further make Kyle crazy. I really started to believe that Kyle was crazy and Julia was never with her in the first place. Kyle’s suspicions that her daughter was in avionics were heighten when she asked Stephanie where she was looking but refused to answer. For the therapist, I have a few theories if she was involved with it, because it felt like the therapist was put there to further gaslight Kyle. The ending scene where Kyle looks at the therapist, the therapist looked so embarrassed for what she said to Kyle. Probably just a coincidence that there was a therapist on board, but it wasn’t a coincidence that when Kyle woke up, the therapist was sitting next to Kyle. Because Carson probably asked if there was someone who could “help,” so he probably told the therapist that Kyle was losing her mind and the girl was never on the plane and is in denial.
But the Middle Eastern guy probably was there by coincidence. Carson just wanted Kyle to be paranoid of kidnappers spying on her daughter across the adjacent building, but it just so happens a passenger on board looked like one of the men spying on her.
Even Carson was elated that this was happening, he told Stephanie that it got better, because Kyle was accusing the Middle Eastern guy to be a kidnapper or terrorist. I am very glad that the Captain angrily told Kyle to stop pretending that she’s looking for her daughter, because that was the key information for Kyle to realize she was being set up by the person who she thought was helping her - Carson. And had Kyle not been persistent and jump out of her seat to run and talk to the Captain, she wouldn’t have found out.
“I told you there was a little girl.”
“She never gave up.”
“She saved us.” 😭😭😭😭
0:41 Her fight or flight mode kicked in. I bet she wanted to beat up Stephanie for a second time if she wasn’t holding Julia. 💀💀💀
1:57 I just realized that the American guy that punched and accused the Middle Eastern guy of being a terrorist was standing in front of the Middle Eastern guy that was sitting. It looked like the American guy felt very embarrassed and was turning his head to try not to look out of shame.
How many times have I cried when Kyle and Julia get taken away in the van towards the daylight? The only time in the movie where there’s bright daylight. 0:01 First time we see her in sunshine. 😭😭😭
How was it Karen of her? The men were acting extremely suspicious and staring at her through the window lmao. Shut up with the Karen bullshit.
Did anyone else notice the striking similarities between the daughter (Marlene Lawston) and the evil guy (Peter Sarsgaard). Their faces looked so similar I thought the actors were related irl or that they would end up being related in the movie which is why they were cast similarly. Neither was true, but still...
All White people look the same.
Hey! Sean Bean didn't die in this one lol
He will fly into Mordor
Pos credit scene
He didn't die in national treasure, he was just arrested
i always wondered where the inflight crew went in this scene you never see them after the penultimate scene which is the scene before this one.
Well you can see them in the background when the Arab guy picked up the bag
In the right side of the screen
Now that she finally accomplished her objective and the Captain apologizes for not believing her what’s next for them.
0:43 The woman they arrested she’s going to spend the rest of her life rotting in a federal penitentiary.

The man with the beard... she owed him an apology.
She never gave up✊️✊️
The soundtrack in this scene reminds me so much of Deep Impact
That’s wonderful
Imagine being one of the passsengers.
I always loved that ending
Every single one of them thought she was nuts and clapped when she was restrained if they had her way her kid would be dead but she’s a parent and no decent parent is gonna do any less than that to get their kid back
If she hadn't woken up this whole time wouldn't she need to be seem by paramedics and taken to a hospital?
How is it not one person saw her daughter on the plane ✈️? I know every passenger wasn’t in on it. So how they not see her?
I just can't ! I can't !!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
This movie never did actually specify what the bad guys motive or goal was for everything they did.
Setting up Jodi Foster to make her look crazy & wanting to hijack & blow up a plane.
Then I got to thinking, they probably just wanted to prove a point as to how easy it is to get away with something like this
I remember there was drugs found in the casket or body. They needed a grieving widow for transport and the crazy episode was to take heat off of customs so the body could slip past
@@tobyadams6461 I don’t remember anything about drugs
Carson was a monster. I’m just confused on why he target Kyle and her family when they never met him before. How did he know kyle was the designer of the plane?
Greed. Didn’t care who he hurt. All that for money and all he had to do is ruined an innocent woman’s life by killing her husband then daughter make her look crazy, frame her as a terrorist, walk away like a hero and keep his money.
Stefany only did for the money, do you have a problem in gaslighting Kyle but she did feel guilty on putting a little girl and passengers in danger.
I *clap* watching the ending
Relatable character 😅
Jodie Foster plays the hero in her films, totally different than what she was in her real life.

The only ones that had any type of dignity are the Arabian guy and the captain.. Everybody else could've at least clapped as she walked through instead of putting their heads down feeling disgusted with themselves
I for real thought the plane was gonna explode when I first saw it because Sean bean always dies. This is probably the only movie he ever survives in 😅😂
Can someone person forgive to someone because of misunderstanding? Because I can't! Because what people's heart says, they feel hurt too much and more and if I were them, I would demands claim compensation from them!
