This is definitely the most in-depth Tesla review I've seen from someone who's never used one before. I bet Tony was a big fan of this one with all the kind things you had to say... 😉
The new model 3 solved all the problems. The suspension is fantastic, the interior is sound proof. Definitely worth renting a 2024. I love my 2024 and I don’t think I could drive one of the older ones
You are spot on with your, Toyota Corolla noise example. It’s the same thing I said to my wife during a 10 day rental. The noise reminded me of a Corolla I had in college 20 years prior. They market the car as “luxury”, and it’s a far cry from “luxury.” Not even close to an Audi, BMW, or Mercedes. My personal vehicle is a well insulated 2023 BMW X7 M60i, so that could have played into why we thought the Model 3 was junk when it came to road noise, and interior quality. Great review!
Right! You would expect more from a $35k+ car, because my 2010 Mercedes has better insulation and quality than the Tesla Model 3 2022. I was thinking of getting that Cadillac Lyriq, but I will admit Tesla's charging system is way better
I mostly never leave any comments but after watching this video, which was super detailed and on point btw, I ended up writing. I honestly thank you for sharing your experience and am glad I stumbled upon this video since I too have an upcoming Tesla rental in Orlando.
Me and Anthony need to get you on the Tesla team! Having access to the app and full acceleration would have made a big difference. I’ve driven my model 3 from Florida to Salt Lake City Utah and it was awesome (Autopilot FTW)
Oh wow! How tough was that trip? I know further west it can be harder to find chargers. Anthony promised in Nashville he’ll let me drive his Tesla, hehe 😉
@@CalbyNg truth be told it was actually fairly easy and when you get into major cities that are close to the mothership (Tesla HQ in Freemont CA) chargers are pretty plentiful. I took a different route back and experienced zero issues at all the network is well planned.
Loved that freakin goose!!! Recently joined the Tesla cult so it's exciting seeing other gas drivers experiencing the EV world. You make me wanna call out of work and hit the road. Where we going next?
Hahaha Goose Final Boss! Oh nice! Anthony Venture, a credit card RUclipsr that films in his Tesla, would be proud. Hahaha road trip! Actually I'm going to Canada again in about a week; my mother wanted to to also experience the Tesla experience and go to Canada; I say why not, haha. If I had the choice though, I would love to drive a Model S out west to maybe like Yellowstone?
I'm gonna rent a Tesla this weekend and I've never driven one either. This should be very interesting! Great video! Gotta love the perks of having the Platinum card!!!
Oh that's interesting! I just did some of my own research on this and found some Chase cards wouldn't cover a Tesla; but most of the premium cards, CSR, Amex Plat, C1 VX should cover a Tesla as long as it's under $75k. Is this what you found as well?
To be honest, I've only looked at it for the Chase Sapphire Preferred and Wyndham Earner Business card. I don't remember for sure, but I thought the insuring company was the same. Hence, I came to the conclusion that the Tesla exclusion language was on a lot of the CCs. I don't have any of the premium cards that you listed yet.
18:10 My god, the story behind this is Calby called me about the chargers being full, my fiancée likes to mess with Calby so she said that you need to “make a reservation” to charge as a joke. Before we could tell him that were joking and it’s not a big deal, and all you have to do is sit and wait 5 minutes with your hazards on and someone will leave so you can charge. 🤦♂️
Oh nice! Be sure to be ready for a car loan; you’ll want to buy one for yourself after the trip, haha. So for this trip it costed about $120 they billed me afterwards. It usually cost me $18 to go from 15% to 90% about 230 miles. So not terrible. Great if you can find a hotel with free charging.
That’s just prove the electric car are really a stupid idea, I’m not talking about this video, but you buy a car that is 3 times more expensive than gas, takes forever to charge (if you luck to find a charger station) the batteries will last 7 to 10 years and then the car is junk polluting the environment and after all, that you pay more for charging than a car that makes 29 miles gallon cost in gas. Wow that makes you lose faith in humanity.
Definitely valid arguments against EV cars. Hopefully, they can fix a lot of the issues you mentioned, like the batteries and charging. Definitely gonna be some growing pains though, for sure.
What year was Model 3? Sorry if i missed this info somewhere? Asking because they supposedly improved noise levels by double painting the glass windows.
Thanks Chris! So when I was researching online what I needed when crossing the border with a rental car, was I needed a voucher; that turned out to not be the case. I've crossed the Canadian border four times since making this video without a voucher. So if you're planning to cross the border with a rental car you should be good 👍
