i actually have and love this fragrance for myself. my skin really brings out the oat, blackcurrant, hint of lime and black tea notes, especially in the opening. i find the dry down more masculine with the musk, cedarwood, clary sage, tonka bean, amber comin through. the orris, rose and violet leaf are very smooth and blended nicely into the scent for me.
It’s a very beautiful scent. I find this to be Iris-centric enveloped with tea and a fruity black current and Amber in the drydown. The Iris is tamed with these other notes and, as such, minimizes or does away with the lipsticky note that I find off putting. A great unisex Parfum.
I just tried the sample and im surprised by how awesome it smells, i usually dont fond floris that's exciting, i must be mistake, must try it soon again to make sure. Reminds me of starlight - xerjoff

Damn, they’ve been around since the 1700s?!? I find that so cool, but we Americans think anything over 100 years old is "really old".
