Great video! You guys are working so hard on this game. I was thinking about this for a while so I want to share. I was thinking wouldn't it be cool when we finish a litter then when we pick the wolf we want to play as, and then choose some of their siblings to go along with them. Because like you said dispersel wolves are siblings. I'm not saying you have to do this, I just wanted to share. Keep up the great work!
I actually love this idea! I really hope they see this and take this into consideration because it'll make gameplay more interesting because imagine if you find yourself a perfect mate for yourself and there are other dispersals with it, your siblings could interact with them as well :D

I love how this is turning out! You are doing an amazing work and the genes solution was really good. The game is still early access so I really expect this to become god-like in the future, considering how good it is now. But there's still a question that I can't recall being answered before, regarding SC multiplayer: how is the family tree going to work? After the players make it through all the quests, will the puppies be available to ALL those who raised them as their offspring? Or will there somehow be chosen two parents? (randomly or idk)
The Family Tree and playing as your adult pups is only in single player. We expect that many people will create new wolves to play as, favorites they helped raise in MP, customizing and naming them, as they like.
I have a multiplayer suggestion. Pack landmarks. The host can set these using a toggle on the normal landmarks so the other players can view what they set. It would be a different color than white so it’s easy to tell where a host has marked. When clicked they show the name of the marker. Also MAYBE the host could give permission to certain players so they can place pack landmarks too but I’m less sure about that. I think this would be quite helpful with letting people know where the rendezvous is in something like amythyst where there aren’t dens, or in slough creek pointing out beaver dams and such. Just my thoughts!

I am SO pumped for multiplayer Slough Creek. A bit off topic, but I just wanted to say some things about the game. So I love everything that out right now, and adoring everything I’m seeing that’s gonna come out. I can’t wait for Slough Creek multiplayer to come out because that’ll be such a huge step, but more so I’m extremely excited about Tower Falls coming in the next few years (I hope). I’ve always wanted to see the puppies grow up and interact with them as adults (or juveniles) with the wolf I’m on. I know Tower Falls itself is probably still far away from being developed, but there is one thing I’ve always, always, always wanted to see in WolfQuest. You guys already have a lot on your plates so I don’t expect this to even go on your to-do list, or for you to read this, but I’ve always wanted the pups from our previous litter to be able to help raise the next generation. If that were to happen, it would mean the game could get easier and harder in different ways as you progress, with the pack getting bigger, which means you get more territory but also need more territory to survive. You’ll get food faster but need maybe even twice as much to feed everyone. Of course that won’t be capable of happening until after Tower Falls at the least is fully released, but I plan to play WQ for as long as I have the time in my schedule and hope to see it advance enough to be able to insert things as complex as that one day. You all are doing such an amazing job! I hope to see more updates on your channel in the future! 💕
I’ve had an idea similar! I thought about having 1-4 wolves from your litter leave (depending on how many survived…0 if only 1 lived) while the others stay, like in nature. This could happen whenever you complete tower falls. It could go like; A: Like age perks you can choose which pups you want to stay while the others that you don’t choose have to go, though it takes out the natural feeling of the game probably Or B: it’s a gamble. 50 percent chance that your favorite puppy may go or 50 percent chance that your little runt pup will decide to step out and leave. A more natural and surprising feature that may have unexpected results from what you’ve seen in your pup’s behavior (though maybe their personality will effect what choice they make…???) Though tower falls (let alone any possible episodes afterward) is a long way from now I’m very pumped for what the team will come up with! Saving up all my wolves!

Great question! Probably not, because these days, collars send signals to satellites and don't require monitoring from planes. Hey Wolfquest! Ever since I saw the update trailer at the bottom of the screen on my iPad on wolfquest 2.7, I was so shocked. I dreamed about the update, I watched every video you made on this channel and I was so excited in june I think was… two years ago, I thought it would come out on mobile too… I was devastated when it didn’t. Little did I know what an iPad could actually hold, heh. I’m so excited because I’m getting a PC for christmas, it’s always been my dream to play this versionand I want to do I’m literally ecstatic about this game i’ve always wanted, it’s so damn realistic. All the time I used to look up "realistic animal simulators mobile" "animal sims" I only found one good game and the colours were still unnatural and it wasn’t realistic to reality and the wolf models, don’t even get me started on how disgusting they were. Theres so much that can happen in this game, it’s so extraordinary and I can’t imagine what a journey I will have playing it. I used to play WQ2.7 every single day probably since I was 6 or 7, I was addicted and I always got so upset when one of my pups would have died and so annoyed when I got rejected by a potential mate. I remember one time I mis-clicked "do i know you?" Instead of "Lets play!" Ahh, I was so pissed. Keep going! Love your game and how the progress is going! Sending good luck, Sage. 🐺❤️
Hey WQ Team! I just want to say that I love the game and am not trying to be offensive in any way, shape, or form. I cannot help but noticing when in Slough Creek it takes a long time for the pups to gain 15 pounds, and hey, I love a long game, especially one that presents challenges. But it is a little boring sitting around for a couple of hours doing the same things over and over again. So I was wondering if you could add another quest thing in the raising pups stage, or maybe (and please think about this one) making growing up pups available once we reach the summer hunting grounds. That would be very fun in my opinion. Also another suggestion, maybe you could at the speed increase thing in single player too? Once again this is just a suggestion and I hope you don’t take offense to this. Thank you for taking so much time on working with the game, and hope you are all doing wonderful and safe. I remember playing this game back in 2011/2012 and today I suddenly remembered about it. I find it fascinating that the game is still being updated and that there's still a community around it. I still remember the first time breeding was introduced. So many memories. I was 11 years old back then and playing as a Wolf was an unforgettable experience, I wish I could go back in time to those days.
It is amazing how the WolfQuest community has stayed strong for so many years. Many of our players have been playing since they were kids. The new game has grown up with you!

I have an idea for the big update, if you move to Amethyst mountain in the fall, you have a chance of encountering your pups as dispersals. When you encounter them, they have the normal (number M/f) and they have the name you gave them in parentheses. Works the same for pack wolves if your pups join another pack. Make that TWO ideas, there's a little cutscene when changing maps. Your wolf and pack members walking toward the map that you selected.
hi i'm new to the game and i have some questions: how can i pick up a puppy? And what are other things that are not in the manual? like (How to do the camera mode.) if you answer me it would be very useful, thank you.
Will we still be able to change pups name in multiplayer by looking at the pack menu? I don't usually name my pups until I actually see what they look like, so I leave the "(pacname) 2M" thing there when it prompts me to name them at first.

Nice! Who will be giving commands to the pups? Such as sending them into/summoning them out of the den? Will it only be the parents or will everybody be able to give those commands? I think only one or two should be able to, seeing as in the old game there were pup killers- having everybody be able to order the pups around could be risky for someone wanting to sabotage.
I don't really like the sound of that. Limitations to prevent the "bad eggs" from being bad only punish the players that actually want to do good, and raising pups in WQ MP has always been a team effort thing in the original game. The best way to combat that is not game engineered functions, but player effort/action. If people are being mean, rude, or malicious in a game, kick and block (and if they are a host, leave that game and join a new one). Those people will either learn not to do that or find that they suddenly have no one to play with as they keep getting kicked/blocked by other people for their behavior.

I have no interest in multiplayer, so MP progress videos by themsves aren't super exciting for me. BUT, knowing that Slough Creek MP is almost complete means that the team will get to work on other more exciting things very soon, so THIS video I am hyped for!
It looks awesome so far! I have a couple questions. 1. Will multiplayer count toward your wolf's age? I think it would be nice if it could. 2. Will accelerate mode be available for single player? As a lot of us have many many litters of pups, It would be nice to have the slough creek to be faster so we can age up our wolves faster.

I think in private games players can decide whether they need a family tree of their pups. Players are all shown at the top of the tree and the roles of the players can be edited by themselves

Help. PLEASE. I've got WolfQuest 2.7 on my phone and it recieved a small update with info about WolfQuest 3. Ever since then the game has been lagging, the controls don't work properly, and I can't even turn.
Sorry! The Google Play Store required a major technical upgrade, which broke some things for WolfQuest 2.7 on a few Android devices. We hope to get them fixed soon. WolfQuest 3: Anniversary Edition is not available for phones yet.
It's a lot to take in, Just too look back at the old game then to look at this one and see this one improve over time, I really hope they keep this game going, I'm going to YellowStone for 3 days and i plan to take a visit to Little Bute! I really enjoy how this is coming out! I do have to say about the den voting though... maybe there should be images of the dens that were picked by players for each player to see so everybody who did not vote for it can see which one it is.

@@WolfQuestGame As in like how many pups can you have? normally in single player the most is 8 or 7? Not sure but thats all.
I have an idea for the big update, if you move to Amethyst mountain in the fall, you have a chance of encountering your pups as dispersals. When you encounter them, they have the normal (number M/f) and they have the name you gave them in parentheses. Works the same for pack wolves if your pups join another pack. Make that TWO ideas, there's a little cutscene when changing maps. Your wolf and pack members walking toward the map that you selected.

Will we still be able to change pups name in multiplayer by looking at the pack menu? I don't usually name my pups until I actually see what they look like, so I leave the "(pacname) 2M" thing there when it prompts me to name them at first.

What will naming the pups look like for multiplayer? Will all of the players vote on names? Does it depend on litter size (e.g. player can name x amount of pups)?
It seems that ((shown in this video)), depending on the amount of players and pups, each person can name a pup

You can always join a public game to try out multiplayer. Lots of people make WolfQuest friends that way. Here are some ways to connect with other players: support.wolfquest.org/help/friends-packs-and-messaging
Nice! Who will be giving commands to the pups? Such as sending them into/summoning them out of the den? Will it only be the parents or will everybody be able to give those commands? I think only one or two should be able to, seeing as in the old game there were pup killers- having everybody be able to order the pups around could be risky for someone wanting to sabotage.

I don't really like the sound of that. Limitations to prevent the "bad eggs" from being bad only punish the players that actually want to do good, and raising pups in WQ MP has always been a team effort thing in the original game. The best way to combat that is not game engineered functions, but player effort/action. If people are being mean, rude, or malicious in a game, kick and block (and if they are a host, leave that game and join a new one). Those people will either learn not to do that or find that they suddenly have no one to play with as they keep getting kicked/blocked by other people for their behavior.

I have no interest in multiplayer, so MP progress videos by themsves aren't super exciting for me. BUT, knowing that Slough Creek MP is almost complete means that the team will get to work on other more exciting things very soon, so THIS video I am hyped for!

1. Will multiplayer count toward your wolf's age? I think it would be nice if it could.
2. Will accelerate mode be available for single player? As a lot of us have many many litters of pups, It would be nice to have the slough creek to be faster so we can age up our wolves faster.

I think in private games players can decide whether they need a family tree of their pups.
Players are all shown at the top of the tree and the roles of the players can be edited by themselves
The Family Tree and playing as your adult pups is single player only.

Help. PLEASE. I've got WolfQuest 2.7 on my phone and it recieved a small update with info about WolfQuest 3. Ever since then the game has been lagging, the controls don't work properly, and I can't even turn.
Sorry! The Google Play Store required a major technical upgrade, which broke some things for WolfQuest 2.7 on a few Android devices. We hope to get them fixed soon.

It's a lot to take in, Just too look back at the old game then to look at this one and see this one improve over time, I really hope they keep this game going, I'm going to YellowStone for 3 days and i plan to take a visit to Little Bute! (oh god i hope i spelled that right ;w;) Anyway! I really hope the WolfQuest team keeps this awesome game up!

Potential future idea: implanting a way for players to get the pups playable and for there to be MP only coats.

You can play with up to eight players in Pack Life and Territory Acquisition (no pups) in Amethyst Mountain.
