I went with the orange, and I love it. After having it for a couple of weeks, I realized that any of the colors would have been fine, but eight months in I'm still happy with my choice.
I’m absolutely in LOVE with the orange… and then there’s the pastel blow to it all. It looks more of a salmon pink than an orange coral. Although orange is my favorite color, I cannot write looking at salmon pink all day. And damn, even the keyboard and peripherals are gorgeous. Darn it Apple, you blew it! I’m going with blue because it’s a sere calm to look at while working. The purple was pretty too.
The yellow was the most unassuming, looked surprisingly good, I thought I wanted an orange one, but the green when looking at the keyboard just gives me energy! and the back of the green one looking like a sea blue is just tops. For my son I would get the yellow cos it pops and for me definitely the green. Great vid showcasing the colours in different environments and lighting conditions, really helps the purchase decision.
I think the yellow looks the best from the 'front facade'. Silver is minimalistic but a classic choice. The other colours somehow don't make an impact to me from the front facade, I think the pastel colours somehow don't work well with the white bezel.
If they would have made the bezel the same color as the front it would have been better, but I really wish they would have made the rest of the machine as dark as the back and that would have been very clean looking. The color shift of front to back looks like the machine is faded from too much sunlight or something.
Thanks a bunch for all the effort and time put into this video, it's the best I watched so far. I was having a hard time to my make my decision and this video helped me a lot. Green is my choice :) I think it stands perfeclty between the boundaries, not being too bright (like the yellow one) nor being too discrete (the silver one).
I would have liked it more if it was all red. I’m going to buy one but can’t decide between the purple , blue, or green one. My iPad Air is green so it would kind of match.
I really appreciated the showcase of all the iMac colors. I couldn't tell the difference between the orange and the pink very well. The video moved a little too fast. I had to watch it more than once. I'd love to see the colored iMac next to the Studio monitor. I like my tech to match is at possible. I plan to buy the studio monitor later. I can't do much with just one monitor anymore. Thanks for the fabulous video.

Great video...the music you used was relaxing and set just the right mood...loud rap or hip hop would not have worked...anyone undecided which color to buy should watch this video. Shooting video of the Macs out in the daylight was a great way to show the true brightness/boldness of the colors. Kudos for doing that. I have ordered the Orange one with 16 GB RAM and 1TB storage...glad to see orange was one of your top favorites too. I disagree with you on the Silver...that would be my last choice...boring...after a year of a dreary pandemic and cabin fever we all need some color in our lives. Apple was smart bringing out these bright, bold colors now. I think they will be big sellers...

I‘ve decided to get an M1 iMac. The hardest part is choosing the colour. Thank you for this very helpful video. I‘m tending toward the orange model, but unsure about seeing a peach-coloured chin all day. The silver looks too boring.
Yes! Brilliant video. I'm from the Gold Coast Australia and loved that you showed ALL the colours from different angles. While I love the yellow, I think it would be a bit much looking at it for long periods trying to work. I am going with the orange which as someone else mentioned has more of a pastel tone to it - the colour is gorgeous, restful and still a bit funky!

Thanks for the no nonsense look at the iMac 24” colors. I’ve contacted the local Apple store, Best Buy, Micro Center, and Abt hoping to find a display of all the colors. No luck. Having seen the blue and silver in person, I’m going for orange. My husband kept pointing out how I like orange and I should get what I love. So . . . guess what I’m getting for my birthday?!
I love the backs of the Yellow, Red/pink and Orange but I feel like they have spoilt the designs by not putting the same shade of colour on the front or a deeper shade at least, the Red - and lets face it, it IS Red- would have been my favourite but I hate the insipid pale pink on the front. The Orange one is gorgeous, a beautiful deep shade on the back but the front and the accessories are not as pleasing to the eye and that is mostly what you are going to see. The contrast colours do look better on the metal base but thats because it is shiny and enhances the colour. So for me, I thought about the Green but ultimately the most consistently beautiful colour is the Yellow and Gold. I loved your video, it was great to just really get to see the difference in all the colours. Also your video did make me realise why Apple made the colours so pale on the front - so that the dark contrasting screen would look so good. Thanks for a great video.
Thanks for the best color comparison video yet! The only choice I'm having trouble with is which color to buy - narrowed down to the green or orange - orange will probably win since I think the green is a little too "safe".
