Yes. I started playing in 2010. It's basically the only game that I played after childhood that I consistently come back to time and again. The variability of what you can do is a main facet. You can explore the world. You can collect resources. You can fight monsters. You can build so many things. You can do redstone and build farms and minigames. You can pose armor stands to fill your world with "people" and objects, like my mansion has a dude chilling out back holding a glass of liquor. I even used noteblocks to build a machine that plays a Christmas tune on loop under the Santa's Village area I built since a family member I play with really likes Christmas. People smarter and more dedicated than I can do truly impressive things. Tangotek, for instance, on Hermitcraft, built an entire dungeon crawl minigame a couple years back, with monsters, traps, and a deck-building aspect. He did that a couple years ago, and he's currently building a new version that's even more impressive. If you know anything about Minecraft, even if you don't watch Minecraft content, it's worth going to watch some of his vids to see just have legit what he built was. And that's before getting into mods. I'm not huge on mods myself, but a lot of people are, and they vastly expand the game in many ways.
