  • Assembly instructions for the Budmen v5 Face Shield as approved by Cedars-Sinai and USC Keck School of Medicine. Version 5 is optimized for larger shields and quick printing while still providing protection from the top.
Parts needed for assembly of a face shield:
    (1) 3D printed Budmen v5 visor
    (2) 20mm strap locks
    (1) 9.5" closed-cell foam tape (3/4" wide, 1/2" thick)
    (1) 22" non-latex elastic band (1/2 or 3/4" wide) or phlebotomy tourniquet
    (1) 10x12" clear poly sheet cut to pattern found on crashspace github
    Superglue (optional, but recommended)
Note: either side of the visor may go up.
CRASH Space's covid response focuses on producing specific items that hospitals are asking for. We are currently working with a number of Los Angeles hospitals, including USC Keck and Cedars Sinai, along with Matter Hackers and Monoprice to meet the immediate needs of the people on the front lines of this crisis in Los Angeles and elsewhere around the country. Ummmm.... Why would you use SUPERGLUE to attach the non-adhesive side of the foam tape to the 3d printed portion? Now you are literally going to have the sticky side STUCK TO YOUR FOREHEAD! 😂 😂 ?????!!!!!

there is no adhesive under the protective layer here, and there IS adhesive on the exposed side. that's how it goes when you cut it from a big roll.
