- Hi Loves! A few weeks ago I QUIT MY 9 TO 5 SALARY JOB! I wanted to share a Life Update on where I've been and all about the new journey I am about to begin! At first I was afraid to post this video because its vulnerable but I figured someone may need to hear this to also have the courage to JUMP.
I am deciding to chose faith over fear. I decided to have the courage to follow my dreams! I hope you join me on this journey.

ABOUT ME:
Denise “Liv” Francis is the Founder and CEO of The Self Love Organization INC. The Self Love Organization is the online Self-Love, Therapy and Wellness club for Black Women to help end the cycle of the transgenerational trauma by healing Black Women and the communities they lead.
She started The Self Love Organization INC in 2017 to bridge the gap between Self Love & Mental Health for Women of Color.
If all Black Women started a Self Love Journey we could heal generations. There is power in healing and strength in Self Love that can echo for generations to come. Denise is on a mission to Heal Black women and end transgenerational trauma. The Strong Black Woman trope has allowed a culture of self-silencing behaviors to be passed down generations. This silencing behavior has allowed Black Women to normalize their trauma. With Self Love we can end this cycle by healing black women, we could rewrite our culture from internalizing trauma to healing it. Transforming the Strong Black Women into who she was always meant to be, the Healed Black Women.
Denise is a Self Love Coach, Researcher, TEDx Speaker and Educator. Denise’s work is focused on healing Black Women by bridging the gap between Self Love and Mental Health with what lies in between the two constructs, Self Therapy. She believes Self Love is a skill; if mastered it could be the missing preventative measure to fight common mental health issues in women of color and help heal trans-generational trauma within the Black Community.

Sis you were working full time, running a business, and in graduate school? I’m getting anxiety just imagining all of that 😩
I quit my job last year to become a full time entrepreneur, and I felt nervous and afraid as well, but through perseverance & faith I can officially say I hit my first 20k sales month as of last week 🙌🏾 You will be a successful, stress free, 6 figure entrepreneur! It has been manifested ✨
Girl! I was doing too much at the same time and I was drowning in work. I was slowly losing myself in the process. I can not wait to be able to say the same about my business soon! Congrats on your wins sis!

Girl, I'm in the same boat (except I haven't quit my job yet). I've told my mom and she's constantly telling me not to, echoing my self-doubt. I'm currently saving a year's worth of expenses (that should be done by December) and I plan to quit at the top of the year. Have faith and blossom as an entrepreneur. I'm so proud of you!
Yeah girl my mom did the same thing! I feel you! Sometimes you have to prove everyone wrong. And I know when my mom said those things it was because she was scared. I think that is a great idea! Use those saving to help you along the journey. But please keep me updated girl!
Checking in to see how you're doing Sabrina. I pray you made a decision that sits right with you! It's hard to drown out the noise of family members. I'm currently thinking of doing something similar in the upcoming year... praying you're doing well sis!

I agree with another commenter, that THIS WAS A WHOLE WORD!! I was clapping, snapping, and crying while you were sharing your story. God never intended for us to be busy all the time. The word of God instructs us to live intentionally and to ALWAYS act on faith. Blessings to sister! God will always provide.

I’m late however I still cried my eyes out 🥺🥺 As a first gen Mexican girl it’s so hard to achieve this lifestyle! I salute you and I will watch this video every time I doubt myself. The most important thing I've learned during the past year or so is that they lied when they said "the world doesn't revolve around you" That's a complete LIE. The world absolutely revolves around YOU. Live your life how YOU want not how "they" want have faith in yourself and always choose YOURSELF! I thank you for this bcuz I'm in this same situation I can't go on anymore with this 9-5 I've started my business and my job is a weight that i can't hold anymore. We all got this we will be just fine!

so proud of you girl!!! the guilt and doubt of letting go of our “comfort zone” & control and surrender to the unknown is truly scary. i made a similar decision last year, and i must say it was hard at first but ended up being the best decision i have made in my adult life! so much growth and transformation happened within & around me that i wouldn’t change for anything. i am currently living my answered prayers & cannot wait to hear all about yours! be blessed 🤍🤍

I feel you girl. I'm working and have been thinking about leaving my job after 14yrs. My husband says do it but I'm scared. I just want a break from working, the only thing is I help support my family and don't want everything falling on my husband. But to be able to look back and say I did that would be a great feeling. I have the support and the faith that God will take care of me and mine, it's just the fear factor lol. Thank you for making this video because it's definitely helped show us that it ok to go for your dreams but also for your happiness! You keep on shining! 😊😍
It’s easier to quit as a single person but most of us have more responsibilities than she does. Financial stability is crucial when married and children involved. Unless you save three years of expenses before quitting it’s very hard to function without health insurance, a guaranteed paycheck, etc. Sometimes we leave jobs out of emotions. Maybe it’s a different job we need vs quitting?
@@cocomint26 For some of us we simply need a career change but for others we need to make out own career. Im grateful to only be responsible for myself so I am ready to take the leap of faith but you know what girl, you never know what can happen! You can leave today and make the the next!
Girl, I feel you. Honestly, the one thing that made me feel like I made the right decision was my faith. I just told myself I need to trust it. &if anything I can always go back in the workforce but for now I am ready to live out my dreams!

Hey i know you will be fine , if you got the carriage to quit that's mean you already strong and you will manage any things which can come over on your way. I quit my job from Italy left everything because it's was too much and transfer myself in london and now I'm happy i did. Feel free in anything you feel to do .lifes is just a journey.

As you stated, "when is ever the right time?" I am around the same age and I too recently left from one job to another choosing to make no more excuses but to jump in faith. It's not easy, but I know God is with me and that is all I need to get me through this new season. So I encourage you with faith, nothing will be impossible and the days it's the hardest the Lord will be your strength and assurance. Be led and be obedient to the call. 🙏🏽❤️
