Shop smarter. All you have to do is scan and bag the items as you shop, using the handset provided, or the Scan & Go Mobile app and checkout faster using the dedicated checkout for quick and easy payment. That’s it! Quick and convenient for all shoppers!

Surely scanning each item as you pick it up would take just the same amount of time as it would to scan your items at self-service checkout (that you have to go to at the end of your shopping) thus making the whole thing a pointless. All in the name of convenience.

Have you used the Scan As You Shop in Tesco?
I do my shopping when the doors open at 6am , can I use the mobile app as it says the handsets can't be used until 7am ?
I’m afraid not , but you can download the app on your mobile phone.. and it’s the same thing, you can shop (scan and go )straight away using your phone, it’s hassle free!

It seems you can try and nick whatever you want. The cashier around the Scan & Go checkout may decide to choose you for a random verification though. It's a chance you take.
so its not full proof and there are possibilities of stealing..
@@krunalsonawane9853 Yes and the money ASDA loses from stealing is offset by not having to pay any wages for extra checkout operators
I do this at sainsburys all time time I had by own bag in the trolley and filled up the stuff in the bag and I only scan half the stuff it’s great

Super cool! How could the market know if all of the items have been scanned before payment?
Not really sure, I’m thinking maybe there’s an alarm in the exit?
From time to time they do random checks, so once you've scanned your handset before paying it stops then assistant comes over and checks 3 items to see if they were correctly scanned , hence why it asks if you had any issues with of the items scanned
It's the most inconvenient way to shop, honestly, when they flag again that one's shopping has to be checked, not just once in a while but every other shop, it's bollocks
It's nowhere near that often.....
