Many times even if it worked there would be underlying problems causing crashed and visual bugs and then these people would think their pc is faulty.

Note to anyone who wants to actually apply this info: Do not just "use whatever you got".
Only use soft plastic or anything you wouldnt mind stabbing directly into your PCB if youre going to apply any amount of pressure. If you're low on space its very easy for your tool to slip off the lock and stab into the motherboard.
If the lock doesnt move unless you put pressure on (like in the case of a stuck GPU or sometimes just because of a finnicky lock), dont use screwdrivers, knives or anything metal.

Funny thing is right. My case was built for specific parts. Tight fit almost no space for storage. So I decided I would upgrade my GPU and while doing so had to use tin snips to remove the DVD reader cage so it would fit. My PC now sits with an SSD hanging out the side no side panel. Gpu held in with paperclips threw the mounting holes since my case didn't have the correct placement. I've been trying to save up for a new pc cause I legit can't upgrade any further but that paycheck to paycheck life makes it difficult to do so.

Well... wrong... if you're worried about Static, you could wear an ESD wrist strap... discharge yourself by touching something else metal first... be sure not to be standing on something like carpet... and probably a dozen other things. I can attest after building several dozen PCs, this is a more of a precaution than anything.

Most cases do have thumb screws these days but some may still require a Philips type 2 screwdriver.
Since you screwed them in when mounting your new CPU.
DO NOT WIGGLE YOUR CPU. Shit might break.

Actually you should use the switch on the back of the PSU itself to turn it off, but leave the cable plugged-in to both the wall socket and the PSU. The PC will stay grounded this way and reduce the risk of static zaps wrecking anything. In Europe you also might have the option of a flipping the wall socket switch off too.

This is why I dislike shorts, not that this is a bad video, but because of the format it glosses over A LOT of potential problems and things to consider, like what GPU to buy, if your power supply doesn't have enough cables to support your new GPU, if there's just regular screws instead of thumb screws, if you have an older style PCI-E clip that goes to the side and not down etc. it just demonstrates that this sort of squashed down content is only really useful for comedy and just about every other medium just turns out seeming really half-assed no matter what the creator did right.
