A lot of kids in my HS made fun of our long snapper but he got a full ride to BYU while our "star" QB went to a community college and ended up dropping out shortly after lol

20 years ago, you could line a nose tackle right up to the center.
One of the few safety rule changes that made football better. Now, it's a skill position instead of a straight lineman.

@Moose Pettway No one knows a long snappers name until they mess up. They can be the reason your team wins or loses. The timing and placement have to be perfect everytime, no excuses or they'll soon be unemployed. Other positions can have a whole bad season and they'll still find a team.
I wouldn't say hardest but it's definitely underappreciated

I wish I kept up with long snapping as a kid like my Dad wanted me to. I remember being 4-6 practicing for flag football and I'd throw it between the barstool legs from down the hallway
If 855 is who they’re going with, they’re going to have a ton of bad snaps. Boy can’t aim the ball at all.

Going to need a very athletic and fast kicker to stay infront of, catch, and release those snaps from him, 855.
The .66 that hit center is better then .65 and painted outside.. The rings should have value to count accuracy. Flap is there just to stop the ball in this case.
Unless they track accuracy separately by itself and speed by itself maybe. This is the first time I’ve watched this skill event/assessment.

Snap times when the ball starts moving till it reaches the target. for example, 6 5 is .65 seconds. I assume faster is better.

Crazy seeing the kids here. My brother was their height about 40-50 lbs heavier at 5’11 230 and could smoke em all. Worked w La tech an nfl long snapper coulda been playing on Sundays. At the time the position was still big man and less popular like it is now.
