I made this recipe using Crown Royal Peach. I substituted canned peaches, cake flour and added 2 tsp baking powder and it came out wonderful. The only thing I’d change for next time is to add a bit more liquor to the cake and maybe soak peaches overnight in the liquor to give it more flavor from the alcohol. Overall great recipe!!

So sorry to hear it fell apart! I have had bundt cakes do that to me too from not cooling them long enough. Sometimes its hard to know exactly how long to leave them in the pan before removing them because you don't want to leave them in too long either. I'm glad you thought it tasted good though! Thanks for letting me know you made it!
Make sure it done. They fall apart when they haven't baked long enough. It's a tender cake when you add liquid. I would try adding about five to seven minutes to the baking time. Golden on top.
I'm sure you cook much better than you give yourself credit for, LaDay! This cake was pretty easy to make for as good as it tasted! I love peaches too and am wanting to make another one of these! Lol
Oh man Alicia you out did your self. Peaches on cake are my favorite. I have made a Pineapple upside down a cake but instead of using pineapple and cherries I used peaches and it was amazing. Wow, awesome cake! First off, those peaches look so good! I am jealous of all those peaches. Your canned peaches--and juice--look amazing! I've never tried Disorono, but I like peaches, so I may have to try that. Thanks for giving us options if we don't want to add alcohol! Don't worry about the glaze. If we fail, we learn. I think I have more experience with glazes because they are more common in Argentine cooking. In fact, if you want a recipe with exact measurements for a glaze that will sit on top of a cake like the glaze on my lemon bars, let me know--I'm pretty sure I wrote it down somewhere--but I've learned that glaze requires a lot less liquid than you would think. When you husband said that it was one of the best desserts he has ever had, I wasn't surprised. It looked so good!!! Well done, Alicia!!
Hi Parnell! I love peaches so I try to can some every year to have them in the winter. They work really well in baked goods like this cake too! Disaronno is an almond flavored liqour and I find that it pairs really well with a lot of desserts. But I wanted to add alternatives to alcohol because I know a lot of people don't drink or use it. And glaze is something I hardly ever make which was pretty evident from this video! Lol I thought this cake would be better with one though so I gave it my best. Cooking is a lot of trial and error! I would love a recipe with exact measurements for glaze if you have one! I can see using glaze more in the future and it would be nice to have one that behaves like I want it to! And this cake was probably one of my favorites so far, I credit the alcohol that was in it! LOL Thanks for watching and happy Sunday to you!!
@@AliciaLynnYT If I had access to a ton of fresh peaches like that, I would can them as well! Thanks for the correction--Disaronno = almond. I think that was a good choice since almond extracts goes well with cherries in cherry pie (that's a secret ingredient in many cherry pie recipes). Peaches and cherries are both stone fruits in the genus "prunus," so I think that they would both go well with almond. I will get that glaze recipe to you. If I forget, let me know! Glaze is a very underappreciated thing: very simple, yet so good. It's one thing that I like about Argentine cuisine: they tend to use glaze more than we do, I think. Glaze also helps to lock in moisture and keep things fresh-tasting. I can tell that the cake was excellent. It looked spectacular!
@@ParnellTheChef I think I love Disaronno so much because I have always loved almond extract. Disaronno is kind of the adult version! Lol And I agree, almond goes great with cherry flavored things. I remember as a kid, helping my mom make a cherry pie with the cherries from our tree and using almond extract then. I have loved it ever since! And I never thought about cherries and peaches being closely related but that makes sense! A good glaze can definitely add a lot to a dessert, I just need to learn how to make a good one. @@TheirMommy589 You're welcome and I used salted butter and all purpose flour. You could probably use self rising if you wanted. Cake flour would be good too but I always just use all purpose for everything to keep it simple.

Mine is in the oven, right now!!! Thank you. This really is a pound cake, though, right? All the butter and no levening. I don't drink so substituted one of my large lemon ice cubes I made last Spring from my lemons. I had this great idea of using the four peaches I had bought from the store, but they were brown from the pit out. Luckily, I had a glass mason jar of peaches in my prepper pantry. I just strained them through my fingers, so some of the liquid should be soaked up a bit from the cake. Also, there is this very fine line from the butter and brown sugar coming together and burning. It didn't seem like they were going to meld, so I turned up the heat just a bit, then had to take the peaches out of the boiling water, so I could peal them easily...and bamm!...I got REALLY close to having to throw it away! lol I do have a candy thermometer, so I should have brought it out. I might have a crunchy, hard peach candy top, when I turn it right side up!

(I tried having a drink at Disney the first day and after one ounce I was in severe pain in my liver area! ) crazy! I think I’ll get it checked out just Incase but it scared me so bad! I love that Dissarono so much but rarely drink it anymore because I would rather eat my calories than drink them! Lol So, I will add it to different desserts like this one. That is kind of crazy that you had that kind of reaction to that little of a drink! Your body is definitely telling you something! You might just have a major sensitivity to alcohol since alcohol is basically poison to our bodies, but I would get that checked to be on the safe side! As I mentioned in the video, if you don't want to use alcohol, you can replace it with an equal amount of juice. No baking powder needed! Hope that helps🍑

You can absolutely use apples instead of peaches if you want! If you use fresh apples, I would cook them a little first though. I did an apple bundt cake where I cooked the apples a little first and I would suggest the same way for this cake. You sure are!! I refuse to pay a minimum of $25 for a bottle of vanilla half the size when I go through so much of it. I use it literally every day in my steel cut oats so I go through it very quickly. I doubt anyone that tried this cake would ever know the difference with all of the other amazing ingredients that are in this cake. Just my opinion! Thanks for watching!

Oh man Alicia you out did your self. Peaches on cake are my favorite. I have made a Pineapple upside down a cake but instead of using pineapple and cherries I used peaches and it was amazing. This cake was so good that I have been wanting to make it again but I am supposed to be cutting back the carbs! I bet your cake was amazing, peaches are a great alternative to the pineapple! Don't worry about the glaze. If we fail, we learn. I think I have more experience with glazes because they are more common in Argentine cooking. In fact, if you want a recipe with exact measurements for a glaze that will sit on top of a cake like the glaze on my lemon bars, let me know--I'm pretty sure I wrote it down somewhere--but I've learned that glaze requires a lot less liquid than you would think.

Hi Parnell! I love peaches so I try to can some every year to have them in the winter. They work really well in baked goods like this cake too! Disaronno is an almond flavored liqour and I find that it pairs really well with a lot of desserts. But I wanted to add alternatives to alcohol because I know a lot of people don't drink or use it. And glaze is something I hardly ever make which was pretty evident from this video! Lol I thought this cake would be better with one though so I gave it my best. Cooking is a lot of trial and error! I would love a recipe with exact measurements for glaze if you have one! I can see using glaze more in the future and it would be nice to have one that behaves like I want it to! And this cake was probably one of my favorites so far, I credit the alcohol that was in it! LOL Thanks for watching and happy Sunday to you!!

Thanks for the correction--Disaronno = almond. I think that was a good choice since almond extracts goes well with cherries in cherry pie (that's a secret ingredient in many cherry pie recipes). Peaches and cherries are both stone fruits in the genus "prunus," so I think that they would both go well with almond.
I will get that glaze recipe to you. If I forget, let me know! Glaze is a very underappreciated thing: very simple, yet so good. It's one thing that I like about Argentine cuisine: they tend to use glaze more than we do, I think. Glaze also helps to lock in moisture and keep things fresh-tasting.

@@ParnellTheChef I think I love Disaronno so much because I have always loved almond extract. Disaronno is kind of the adult version! Lol And I agree, almond goes great with cherry flavored things. I remember as a kid, helping my mom make a cherry pie with the cherries from our tree and using almond extract then. I have loved it ever since! And I never thought about cherries and peaches being closely related but that makes sense!

@@TheirMommy589 You're welcome and I used salted butter and all purpose flour. You could probably use self rising if you wanted. Cake flour would be good too but I always just use all purpose for everything to keep it simple.

Mine is in the oven, right now!!! Thank you. This really is a pound cake, though, right? All the butter and no levening. I don't drink so substituted one of my large lemon ice cubes I made last Spring from my lemons. I had this great idea of using the four peaches I had bought from the store, but they were brown from the pit out. Luckily, I had a glass mason jar of peaches in my prepper pantry. I just strained them through my fingers, so some of the liquid should be soaked up a bit from the cake. Also, there is this very fine line from the butter and brown sugar coming together and burning. It didn't seem like they were going to meld, so I turned up the heat just a bit, then had to take the peaches out of the boiling water, so I could peal them easily...and bamm!...I got REALLY close to having to throw it away! lol I do have a candy thermometer, so I should have brought it out. I might have a crunchy, hard peach candy top, when I turn it right side up!

Wow girl it looks like it came from a bakery! Great job! Looks so good! I can’t have a drop of alcohol but I could sub out the alcohol for juice! (I tried having a drink at Disney the first day and after one ounce I was in severe pain in my liver area! ) crazy! I think I’ll get it checked out just Incase but it scared me so bad! I never drink but maybe one or two drinks total per year so it makes no sense!

I love that Dissarono so much but rarely drink it anymore because I would rather eat my calories than drink them! Lol So, I will add it to different desserts like this one. That is kind of crazy that you had that kind of reaction to that little of a drink! Your body is definitely telling you something! You might just have a major sensitivity to alcohol since alcohol is basically poison to our bodies, but I would get that checked to be on the safe side! You can absolutely use apples instead of peaches if you want! If you use fresh apples, I would cook them a little first though. I did an apple bundt cake where I cooked the apples a little first and I would suggest the same way for this cake. You sure are!! I refuse to pay a minimum of $25 for a bottle of vanilla half the size when I go through so much of it. I use it literally every day in my steel cut oats so I go through it very quickly. I doubt anyone that tried this cake would ever know the difference with all of the other amazing ingredients that are in this cake. Just my opinion! Thanks for watching!
