i can't recall any bosses have X1 having "multiple" weaknesses/effects to the weapons like the first game. You could dismember some bosses, making them harder or weaker...then another weapon would be thier "true weakness" (see: Launch Octopus). It really made you use your sub-weapons more than the typical Mega Man game would...
the sparkling mandryl have the most recognized them of all the X saga . But oh boy that beat up that I see on this video probes that God punishment twice 😂
Maverick Hunter is such an interesting game. They put a good bit of budget into it and it really feels like the level design changes and cutscenes/voice lines/music really make it feel fresh in a great way. Plus the 3D is different but not jarring, it still feels good overall to play. Sometimes I wanna play the original, sometimes I feel like playing through MH, and I think that sentiment says everything to Capcom doing a great job.
I think my favorite moment is watching someone bring the hadouken to the armadillo rematch. “Enough talk let’s fight!” Hadouken instantly kills him in one hit. “It was a good fight.” *dies*
Why did they make the first encounter with Vile an actual boss fight? Not only does it remove the porpoise of what the fight represents for X and the player but also makes X look like a total derp just standing there to be captured...
Incase you might not have known you could have cut off flame mammoths trunk with the boomerang weapon,you can do the same to launch octopus as well unless they patched that out,it still works on the SNES version

to show you must try for once also sometimes a too faithful remake can be bad as well trust me i saw it a few times when people were displeased when something is too faithful
