The wrist angles are an effect of how you move your body in the down swings if you’re at the top and let your legs and large muscles lead your arms and wrists i found I can get my wrists in the right positions via inertia if that makes sense.
Brilliant, Jonathan. I've just discovered how to correctly release my hands after 55 years of playing golf. I've always blocked the release without being aware of it. As you predicted, with a little practice, the correct release seems quite simple to adopt and allows my club to naturally move left after impact. Thanks!
Excellent on the movement of my hands. Reminds me of Ben Hogan's pronation of the left wrist down towards the ball at impact. I gotta find my impact bag though....
If only you could see the light bulb above my head! For the release I get two out of three but for 15 years never got the unhinging correct. I knew that it should be done, but this is the first time, I have understood exactly how, by looking at the strong ulnar deviation at impact - to be obtained by "thumbs down" thought. Half a bucket on the range today confirmed this. For once "thumbs down" is a positive!! Thanks!
As always Jonathan, really enjoy listening to your explanations on the golf swing. I am struggling to change my golf swing. I video my swing but the same faults are still there. Early extension and poor rotation. Any tips on a previous video you made. Please keep posting the great content. Your one of the best on RUclips.

I find that I can focus on correct leg/hip movement or correct hand/wrist movement, but not both at the same time. Which is more important for hitting straight golf shots ?

You can’t separate them, you need all the constituent parts to make a good golf swing.
