Can I use 6v1a dc adapter and the batteries together, so that batteries are only used during power cuts and rest of the time it takes power from adapter ?

There are few issues with this Kent Soap / Sanitizer dispenser:
1) It uses four C type batteries which are hard to find in the market as nothing uses these batteries in todays world. Thankfully you can insert AA batteries as well easily.
2) Doesn't work well outdoors. If you want it to use as soap dispenser at your wash basin then most probably it will be outdoors. In outdoor daylight it doesn't detect the hand and you need to almost touch its sensor in order to get it working. Works well indoors though and detects your hand at around 10cm as advertised.
3) No user manual in the box. So this video will be helpful for people 👍👍.
4) No batteries or adaptor in the box.
And in Soap dispensing mode (separate pump to be installed given in package) it doesn't give snow foam like others. It just dispenses a small amount of hand wash liquid as it is. Thankfully it can dispense thick liquid as well so you may use liquid hand wash without diluting it.
Overall there are two major drawbacks. One is C type batteries which are very hard to buy. And secondly it just fails to operate outdoors in day time which is a big issue.
However this might be an issue with every dispenser may be. Can't say as I don't have any other brand to test in similar condition.

Here is some important notes for you:
(1) We have also find that batteries from market. Also You can get Power adapter of 5-6 V with 1 Amp. capacity for it.
(2) This is basically use at indoor location either in your office or in bathroom as a wall mounted.
(3) This video will be helpful for installation and operation process.
(4) Batteries or adapter is the choice option as per your premises that why not come with unit.
(5) If you want Soap as foam type, then you have to purchase a KENT Touchless Soap Dispenser. It will give you soap as foam.
(6) you can use adapter as a power supply. that will be easy to find in the market.
(7) For outdoor use you can KENT Auto Sanitiser Dispenser ( with 6 Ltr. & 10 Ltr.)

@@Publicchannel5 Yes sir you will be able to insert AA batteries since type C and AA are of same length. But remember AA being smaller (and cheaper) will drain faster.
@@TheTECHTract Hi sir,I see AA batteries (kept in wall clocks) are very small in size and doesn't fit here,only c type batteries fit here,AA batteries are very lean.
@@Publicchannel5 yes sir, AA batteries are slimmer than C type batteries. But still it is possible to fit them because the lenght of batteries is same. It is a bit tricky to fit them but still possible.

Bhai battery kaun type Ka hai,aur kaha milega..
Battery is C type. Mushkil se milega, not commonly used.
