I just learned watching Lineage Journey that this song was written by Annie Smith, the sister of Uriah Smith 10 days before she died, and played years later at Uriah's funeral.
In the space of two weeks I lost my first born in labour and my wife. My marriage was as young as 1 year 10 months when I lost all that meant so much to me in this life. All this happened this year and this song encouraged me to entirely rely on God's word -the Bible and everything in the scripture became new and so encouraging. Im so very sorry for your lose. I can’t imagine the pain you went through. I do know the pain of losing a child as my wife and I lose one of our twins a week before a scheduled delivery. Day by Day was another song that really helped us out. It is amazing the lengths that Satan will go through to get us to falter in our faith. Be strong and of good courage!!

On January 4th, 2020, I sent note in church to reach the chorister. I asked for the song O brother be faithful. The song was sung beautifully. I l departed the next day to Botswana. I survived a terrible road accident in which the whole coach, caught fire 🔥 and was gutted down to ashes. I thank God that we all escaped this terrible accident 🙏.
