  • HUGE Hidden Mine Downtown Sonora, Tuolumne County, CA
Can you believe this? This is in an area where many upon many walk by it everyday. It is offset and Camouflaged pretty good out of the way. Now just imagine you are walking by an area and someone says, take a look at this. You move some things out of the way and all of this goes underneath people's home in the side of a Hill.
Now, inside it has been trashed and a small amount of graffiti but the formations have been left along. There are huge stopes above and the ceiling is brittle so hardhats are not only required but a must! There are more in this area as well. We are "raising the underground to the surface" for your viewing from home. SUBSCRIBE to our Channel on Facebook and here on RUclips for more upcoming Videos, we are very busy every Wednesdays, and are atleast planned 8 Months out already. Thank you for watching.

It has been great to have watched this and the video. If you have any questions please go up to City hall they can help you out with the history of Sonora. When you were hiking up the creek went right through the old Chinese District. Have fun.

People wonder where this is and it is along where the path is asphalt on the other side of the creek. I used to run by it hundreds of times when on a xc team but never went in

It has been great to watch the videos you have done a great job with your presentation. It sounds like you have a lot of questions about Sonora. If you go to City hall they can help you out with history. Wen you'll were going up the Creek past Stuart St you were right in the middle of the Chinese District of Sonora dating back to 1850s and I'm thinking that they probably played a part in the stacked rock work. Love you videos

Passed this the other day and was surprised to see the wooden rounds were down - (did you forget to put them back up? Used to be hidden better by the blackberry bushes). Haven't been in it since the late 70s/early 80s - Thanks for the lighted tour!
