Here’s a question: if the crew comes in contact with a Devil Fruit, do any of them eat it? And by ‘any of them’ I mean Yosuke and Teddy specifically. Also, can Yu still access the Velvet Room while on the Grand Line? If so I could see using Hassou Tobi with Yoshitsune helping to progress the Mihawk plot somewhat. Lastly I could see any of the crew’s bounties going up dramatically if their Persona powers are ever revealed to not be bound by a Devil Fruit (say, being thrown into salt water but coming out fine without help). That’s the kind of thing that would catch the World Government’s eye, to be sure.
Regarding navigation, if max social stats are canon then our boy narukami has the sage knowledge and as such can definitely sail a ship to wherever they need to

Honestly just the fact that most of them have modern guns makes them quite scary. in a world where the most advanced personal firearm is a revolver the fact the phantom thieves have shotguns assault rifles smgs and grenade launchers means they are more heavily armed then the marines. and that's not even going into the fact that the phantom thieves are more competent when it comes to large-scale battles if we take scramble for example. also the phantom thieves just have more useful non-combat skills than the investigation team. Joker for example is not only a decent enough cook but can also make stuff like Molotov cocktails

I don't know for sure if the crew here would have bounties 100%, gven they aren't near as fuck authority as the p5 crew, and beating Morgan didn't give anyone a bounty. In fact I think they where celebrated as heroes until Luffy said he was a pirate, and then the Marines said you saved us and all, but you can't stay here. It was really the corrupt Marine officer who worked with Arlong, which got Luffy his first bounty, which I could see the investigation team trying to turn him in to the proper authorities. Cause they could do so as they turn in Arlong for the reward. Which is the best way I could see them making money, given they don't have shadows to beat, and they aren't interested in stealing. As for Naoto, her getting a bounty would mean she had to have been discovered doing something bad. Actually the one piece world is fucked up enough she could have simply freed a slave from a Celestial dragon, and got a decently sized bounty on her head. Although honestly speaking their bounties would likely be small.
I think Yu Narukami uses Myriad Truths and reveals the way to Laugh Tale and One Piece without the need of the Poneglyphs. It is implied that's what Myriad Truths does, reveals the truth to anything or anyone.

@@AlexT7916 If we go by visual size of the Personas in the anime then Kanji’s Take-Mikazuchi should be enough to match Zoro but IDK if Yu would even be able to learn how to use his sword nearly as good as Zoro though. At least in Persona 5 we see the Phantom Thieves dodge massive lasers in turn based combat (anything before third semester should be on par with Investigation Team) and if I remember correctly they’ve even been shown to dodge Danmaku (Riot Gun can be dodged). But yeah, the Strawhats are cracked.

Now, the fruit may or may not have wanted to be consumed by Ace, but signs point to the idea that it would have allowed it. Luffy has always been framed as the "backup protagonist" of the setting ever since the introduction of Ace, and all future details point to this being the case. Roger had a plan with what he told Shanks, and Luffy was not in the script to eat that fruit. It moreso comes down to the "will of the fruit," which will be elaborated on somewhat soon. We still don't have elaboration of what a devil fruit *is* yet, yet alone the implied will of the individual "devils" inside them. Devil fruit consumption has the same effects as when Kirby when he eats someone... except it's permanent, and with the seawater kryptonite. Also, the possible ability to commune with their devil?
Definitely do a pt 2 of this crossover idea, I'm curious how the investigation team (specifically Yu) can handle Marineford, especially since Mihawk is at Marineford, so a Yu vs Mihawk rematch could happen. I say do more persona crossover ideas with other series like Soul Eater, Jujustu Kaisen, Yu Yu Hakusho, Bleach, Hunter x Hunter and Code Geass. Bleach would be an interesting crossover idea to see how the P3 crew, p4 crew and P5 crew handle Bleach's locations like Karakura Town, Soul Society, Hueco Mundo, and handle the Soul Reapers, Hollows, Arrancars, Visoreds, Fullbringers and Quincys. Like can the Phantom Thieves handle the Gotei 13, The Espadas, Xcution (especially Tsukishima and his book of the end Ability) and Yhwach and his group The Sternritters.
I don't see how marineford would happen. None of the investigation team are actual pirates and none especially would have high bounties so none of them would be of interest in Blackbeard's eyes. I doubt they would go to marineford to save Ace either or anything because as far as they have seen pirates *are* bad people.

As far as the fight stuff goes wouldnt the Personas empower the Investigation Team to be about as physically powerful as their foes? Like if they can take hits and do melee damage to big ass shadows they could probably tussle with Arlong instead of as you said getting their heads snapped off.

Honestly, I don't know if they could find it specifically, but I would assume wild card bullshit might make something happen in those regards, aside from that they don't really have too much to worry about when it comes to fighting though, cause as far as I'm aware, the strongest characters in One Piece are like Island destroyers, but Persona 4 the animated version made it so that Beelzebub in the Naoto portion had enough power with Megidolan to emulate a small nuke, and the Golden Anime was even more busted, so it really depends when in their journey they were taken from, aside from that I dont think any of them have the navigational skills to figure out where something is on an entire planet
If this is end gane p4, and yu has the power of absolute truth then I day they could definitely find it as not only would he know if it's really for sure, they basically will not have much of a struggle with combat or even traps and lies. That's only of you give him the power, as if you do I think they definitely find it for sure. Like with that ability he probably can figure out the right path like no bad weather stuff, as the concept of absolute truth is busted.
This is a very interesting crossover isekai. I don't know much about Persona 4 but with how it's laid out so far here's a couple problematic things they may run into in the rest of the pre timeskip. They have a problem that without Nico Robin, there is no one in the world that can read the poneglyphs to get to the One Piece. If they're at Long Ring Long Land, Aokiji might not spare them since he doesn't owe any of them like he did with Robin. How do they deal with Kuma scattering them across the planet? Is anyone pure of heart & dumb of ass enough to be immune to Boa's ability to take Luffy's role on Amazon Lily? Iva probably doesn't help escape with whoever's at Impel Down since they aren't related to Dragon & would wait for Dragon to make their move as they said initially when asked to help.

From a straight power scaling point of view like could the investigation team beat everyone in One Piece and therefore get it, yes they could. Extremely easily too Persona and SMT are a top 1% verse in terms of power. But story wise do they have the ability to navigate the world and figure out it's history to be able to reach the One Piece? I think so. I mean if you look at the IT they have the skills required. Yu can win people over, form alliances, and has extreme determination like Luffy, Naoto is the Robin, Yosuke and Kanji are the Sanji and Zoro, Rise is the Nami, Teddie is the Usopp and Yukiko and Chie are just there tbh but the important roles are fulfilled. I think they can do it and with more ease than the Strawhat Crew since there'd be no Marineford, Enies Lobby, and Whole Cake Island detours. Edit: I want to add that for this series I think that power level wise you should just scale the Investigation Team to whatever the Strawhats are at at that point in the story. Otherwise they just stomp. This way the story is more interesting and the fights come down to their abilities. Like Yu vs Croc is a very interesting matchup if you place Yu as strong as Luffy was cause there is no water element for him to use even if he has the wild card here.
How would the Investigation Team even sail a ship lmao, they're literally a group of teens with no sailing experience. Also WCI is still on the track since Big Mom has a Road Poneglyph, no Marineford or Enies though, not that it matters since it was just Luffy and the Impel down inmates for Marineford + Enies would get wiped by the team. Also the entire team would starve to death/subsist on cabbages if they can't buy anything.

After that they'd just get treasure from like Arlong, Croc, the gold on Skypiea etc. As for the ship part Narukami is just somehow good at everything so I think he can sail fine and Rise is a cracked Navigator, even better than Nami most likely. You're right I forgot about Whole Cake they would have to go there eventually but them not going there after Zou does mean no Big Mom at Wano I'm pretty sure so it still makes the journey easier.
So I think it would make more sense to have Vivi as a social link. Saki was already mentioned so it's not too out there. I'd say Yumi could be her replacement, mainly because you could just put her mom in Alabasta and have her want to get to her the same way it happens in the actual SL. I guess Teddie could be Chopper's replacement because of their similarities: Healing skills, "animal" mascot, annoying English voice. Naoto could probably just join during Whisky Peak seeing as there's no reason for her to be against the IT.

Okay let's see. Little Garden probably just gets skipped unless they have to go there because of the log pose, gotta go to Drum to get Teddy where Wapol is no problem, and then it's Alabasta time. Teddy would be the best candidate to do the whole Mr. Prince thing since he wouldn't be recognized outside of his bear costume. The officer agents shouldn't be too much trouble I think, but Crocodile would be an issue. You're going to have to decide if magic attacks can hurt logia users or not. Let's assume they can and they defeat Crocodile. They then wouldn't really have much reason to go to Skypiea or participate in a Davy Back Fight so I guess we're skipping those arcs. Aokiji wouldn't show up either since they don't have Robin. They get to Water 7 and it's pretty uneventful because again, no Robin. Also the Merry wouldn't have taken nearly as much damage so it should be able to keep going. They go through the Florian Triangle and Thriller Bark probably happens. They beat up Moria and I don't think Kuma bothers with them since they didn't do the Enies Lobby arc. Then they arrive at Sabaody, and if they can't hold themselves back from assaulting Charloss they get stomped by Kizaru. Kuma probably doesn't have much reason to save them there so... the end!
There is an argument to make for Crocodile getting turned into glass by Kanji's lightning, going to skypia really depends on if they want to follow the log pose or not and maybe the world government finds out about Chie and send Aokiji to capture her.
Now we need to see if the Strawhats can find Adachi.

@@AlexT7916 If we go by visual size of the Personas in the anime then Kanji’s Take-Mikazuchi should be enough to match Zoro but IDK if Yu would even be able to learn how to use his sword nearly as good as Zoro though. At least in Persona 5 we see the Phantom Thieves dodge massive lasers in turn based combat (anything before third semester should be on par with Investigation Team) and if I remember correctly they’ve even been shown to dodge Danmaku (Riot Gun can be dodged). But yeah, the Strawhats are cracked.

It's heavily implied that Shanks stole that specific fruit and brought it to the island that has the Goa Kingdom on it to give it to Ace. Now, the fruit may or may not have wanted to be consumed by Ace, but signs point to the idea that it would have allowed it.
Luffy has always been framed as the "backup protagonist" of the setting ever since the introduction of Ace, and all future details point to this being the case. Roger had a plan with what he told Shanks, and Luffy was not in the script to eat that fruit.
It moreso comes down to the "will of the fruit," which will be elaborated on somewhat soon. We still don't have elaboration of what a devil fruit *is* yet, yet alone the implied will of the individual "devils" inside them. Definitely do a pt 2 of this crossover idea, I'm curious how the investigation team (specifically Yu) can handle Marineford, especially since Mihawk is at Marineford, so a Yu vs Mihawk rematch could happen.
I say do more persona crossover ideas with other series like Soul Eater, Jujustu Kaisen, Yu Yu Hakusho, Bleach, Hunter x Hunter and Code Geass.
Bleach would be an interesting crossover idea to see how the P3 crew, p4 crew and P5 crew handle Bleach's locations like Karakura Town, Soul Society, Hueco Mundo, and handle the Soul Reapers, Hollows, Arrancars, Visoreds, Fullbringers and Quincys. Like can the Phantom Thieves handle the Gotei 13, The Espadas, Xcution (especially Tsukishima and his book of the end Ability) and Yhwach and his group The Sternritters.
I don't see how marineford would happen. None of the investigation team are actual pirates and none especially would have high bounties so none of them would be of interest in Blackbeard's eyes. I doubt they would go to marineford to save Ace either or anything because as far as they have seen pirates *are* bad people.

Honestly, I don't know if they could find it specifically, but I would assume wild card bullshit might make something happen in those regards, aside from that they don't really have too much to worry about when it comes to fighting though, cause as far as I'm aware, the strongest characters in One Piece are like Island destroyers, but Persona 4 the animated version made it so that Beelzebub in the Naoto portion had enough power with Megidolan to emulate a small nuke, and the Golden Anime was even more busted, so it really depends when in their journey they were taken from, aside from that I dont think any of them have the navigational skills to figure out where something is on an entire planet
If this is end gane p4, and yu has the power of absolute truth then I day they could definitely find it as not only would he know if it's really for sure, they basically will not have much of a struggle with combat or even traps and lies. That's only of you give him the power, as if you do I think they definitely find it for sure. Like with that ability he probably can figure out the right path like no bad weather stuff, as the concept of absolute truth is busted.

This is a very interesting crossover isekai. I don't know much about Persona 4 but with how it's laid out so far here's a couple problematic things they may run into in the rest of the pre timeskip.
They have a problem that without Nico Robin, there is no one in the world that can read the poneglyphs to get to the One Piece.
If they're at Long Ring Long Land, Aokiji might not spare them since he doesn't owe any of them like he did with Robin.
How do they deal with Kuma scattering them across the planet?
Is anyone pure of heart & dumb of ass enough to be immune to Boa's ability to take Luffy's role on Amazon Lily?

Defeating Arlong himself wouldn't give them a bounty. It's whoever punches the corrupt navy guy that'll get the bounty.
A big assumption is that they do 1 on 1 fights when canonically the Investigation Team just jumps people like they did for Adachi and Namatame
From a straight power scaling point of view like could the investigation team beat everyone in One Piece and therefore get it, yes they could. Extremely easily too Persona and SMT are a top 1% verse in terms of power. But story wise do they have the ability to navigate the world and figure out it's history to be able to reach the One Piece? I think so. I mean if you look at the IT they have the skills required. Yu can win people over, form alliances, and has extreme determination like Luffy, Naoto is the Robin, Yosuke and Kanji are the Sanji and Zoro, Rise is the Nami, Teddie is the Usopp and Yukiko and Chie are just there tbh but the important roles are fulfilled. I think they can do it and with more ease than the Strawhat Crew since there'd be no Marineford, Enies Lobby, and Whole Cake Island detours.
Edit: I want to add that for this series I think that power level wise you should just scale the Investigation Team to whatever the Strawhats are at at that point in the story. Otherwise they just stomp. This way the story is more interesting and the fights come down to their abilities. Like Yu vs Croc is a very interesting matchup if you place Yu as strong as Luffy was cause there is no water element for him to use even if he has the wild card here.
How would the Investigation Team even sail a ship lmao, they're literally a group of teens with no sailing experience.
Also WCI is still on the track since Big Mom has a Road Poneglyph, no Marineford or Enies though, not that it matters since it was just Luffy and the Impel down inmates for Marineford + Enies would get wiped by the team.
Also the entire team would starve to death/subsist on cabbages if they can't buy anything.

As for the ship part Narukami is just somehow good at everything so I think he can sail fine and Rise is a cracked Navigator, even better than Nami most likely.
You're right I forgot about Whole Cake they would have to go there eventually but them not going there after Zou does mean no Big Mom at Wano I'm pretty sure so it still makes the journey easier.

So I think it would make more sense to have Vivi as a social link. Saki was already mentioned so it's not too out there. I'd say Yumi could be her replacement, mainly because you could just put her mom in Alabasta and have her want to get to her the same way it happens in the actual SL. I guess Teddie could be Chopper's replacement because of their similarities: Healing skills, "animal" mascot, annoying English voice. Naoto could probably just join during Whisky Peak seeing as there's no reason for her to be against the IT.

Okay let's see. Little Garden probably just gets skipped unless they have to go there because of the log pose, gotta go to Drum to get Teddy where Wapol is no problem, and then it's Alabasta time. Teddy would be the best candidate to do the whole Mr. Prince thing since he wouldn't be recognized outside of his bear costume. The officer agents shouldn't be too much trouble I think, but Crocodile would be an issue. You're going to have to decide if magic attacks can hurt logia users or not. Let's assume they can and they defeat Crocodile. They then wouldn't really have much reason to go to Skypiea or participate in a Davy Back Fight so I guess we're skipping those arcs. Aokiji wouldn't show up either since they don't have Robin. They get to Water 7 and it's pretty uneventful because again, no Robin. Also the Merry wouldn't have taken nearly as much damage so it should be able to keep going. They go through the Florian Triangle and Thriller Bark probably happens. They beat up Moria and I don't think Kuma bothers with them since they didn't do the Enies Lobby arc. Then they arrive at Sabaody, and if they can't hold themselves back from assaulting Charloss they get stomped by Kizaru. Kuma probably doesn't have much reason to save them there so... the end!
There is an argument to make for Crocodile getting turned into glass by Kanji's lightning, going to skypia really depends on if they want to follow the log pose or not and maybe the world government finds out about Chie and send Aokiji to capture her.
