I have been meditating on Matthew 28:16-20 lately and wonder why Christian concerts have jammed packed auditoriums but it is so hard to get people out to Missions conferences. Does anyone care to share?
kaosj3 It's because we are living in a generation who would rather feel good. Many are led by their emotions and they think the infilling of the Holy Spirit is an emotional experience.... they seek the feel good of it all. This generation has a form of godliness but denies the power. Not saying that going to a worship concert is a bad thing, but we've got to have balance. The Church of America is out of balance and our love has grown cold. It's sad really. But I believe God is going to put us through the refining fire soon. And many who are led by their emotions will fall by the wayside. Jesus said the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. And many are called, but few are chosen. Keep praying for the Lord to send workers, and I agree with that prayer. We need them now like never before! We are indeed living in the last of the last days! Jesus said that our love for each other proves we are His.....how much "love" have you seen in the body of Christ lately? The Church is worldly and in need of a spiritual awakening!
kelli adkins Hammered the nail on the head. May God cause His bride to rise and not to be selfish with the Hope only He brings. That Christianity would not be a label we put on, but a life we live. Thinking on what Noe shared, may the sacred unity of marriage be for two to become one to be more effective for His Kingdom, and not for our own selfish desires. May the church be shaken and awake from slumber. There is much work to be done.
