- The NVX BOOST subwoofer enclosures are the perfect way to add bass to your car's factory sound system. This is a custom made loaded fiberglass subwoofer enclosure created specifically for select Lexus models. The subwoofer is light and compact, but also sounds great.
This enclosure houses a NVX 10" VCW subwoofer, a 750W sub that is perfectly paired with the NVX BDA7501. The enclosure is easily installed with the included hardware and takes up minimal cargo space in the trunk.
This subwoofer system can be bought alone or as a bundle that includes everything needed for the installation, including amplifier and LOC (Line Out Converter).

Is there any ad/disadvantages of side mounts like that vs regular box enclosures besides space? like positioning and sound quality.

nvx did a great job keeping them people with family cars in the bass but i think low bass in cars its an overkill?!?!
+Leonidas Limnios But it can be fun! As for music, I think a modest subwoofer could do the job admirably. However, I go for deep bass. I'm not into hairtricks, and most of these set ups, prefab boxes, simply doesn't do it for me, and no standard set up does it for me either.

It does look like it could. I just completed a full system (android head unit retained AC controls) with a trunk mounted amp, and a Alpine R 8dvc in an Alpine shallow box. It actually hits hard considering it takes up less than half of the space behind the top spacer. I'll be adding another Alpine R 8 and custom building a ported box. I'm considering uploading a video highlighting the how to's for my build. I also installed a rear camera and installing the wiring for that alone (moving trunk parts) was a pain. But I ended up running all of my wiring under the car lol. I hated the thought of damaging my red leather, so I wrapped the wires with heat shield tape and got creative.

I bought this kit, my only criticism is that the enclosure needs provided pilot holes It really is a pain lining it up.
