My first upholstery project with my new Consew sewing machine. Making sun visors for my 1989 GMC 3500 dually. This was my first attempt after watching tons of RUclips tutorials.
That’s Awesome. I give respect to that because it’s definitely a talent. I got the machine from a friend who retired from the trade . I am still learning and definitely have a lot to learn. Thanks for the kind comment and I hope you enjoy your weekend. 🤙🏼🤙🏼👍🏼👍🏼
That’s awesome jacob I am totally new to the upholstery but when it’s raining I can’t work outside so I practice with the machine. I actually watch the videos from the channel called the @lucky needle . It has a course you can buy or just watch his tips and tricks. Good luck and keep me posted on your progress and projects.🤙🏼🤙🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I haven’t been able to get on the machine as much as I would like lately for more practice. I have some truck seats I would like to repair also I have been asked to do boat seats and covers but I had to turn down because Iam just not that comfortable yet. Thanks for the kind comment! I really do appreciate it!🤙🏼🤙🏼
Wears hard on the hands. My fingers hurt just watching. 🤕 You can change the drivebelt pulley size to add torque. Less hand wheel and more punch thru power for fat needles. Does your Consew have a servo motor? They add a ton of control for under $200. 😉
Thanks for the great advice on the pulley. No it has the old style motor . I have seen the new machines they come with the servo motor and a lot quieter too they say ? I will definitely look into that upgrade. 🤙🏼🤙🏼
@@rustedmoneyranch It's the power and a speed limiter of the servo. I also advise converting to a 3rd pedal setup for reverse. Keep both hands on the work at all times. Lock switches stay inline, and you actually sew a little faster. ✌
I've been a poster for 40 years I have exact same machine I love that machine
