  • Vietnam is considered one of the most famous and popular countries in Southeast Asia. In this country, the differences between North Vietnam and South Vietnam could not be bigger. While in the north visitors can expect a more traditional Vietnam, in the south you get the full load of the modern world. Nha Trangs is one of the most famous destinations in the country, not least because of its kilometer long beaches. Because of the "high life" we couldn't resist the challenge to see how far we could get with only $10.

Hope you come back again soon. Do northern Vietnam as it's amazingly unique and beautiful. Visit places like Phong Nha (you can go see Paradise and Dark Caves...or do the multi-day caving adventures), Ninh Binh (amazingly beautiful if you come when everything is green and lush), Sa Pa, Cat Ba, and do the Ha Giang Loop (many people do it when everything is green, but maybe going when the rice fields are golden in late September or November might be great). Also do food tours as I've seen some great food tours by people in Hanoi (MomDuty, "Flora and Note", and "This Food Bangz" all did great ones there) or in Hoi An ("Steph and Pete" had a great food tour there last year) or if you plan on being back in HCMC again, check out the food tour "Chase and Shelbs" did.

Thank you for all the recommendations. We definitely plan to visit Vietnam again but our visa was for only 30 days and we wanted to explore it slowely and not rush. 🥰 Food tours are always hard for us cause we don‘t eat meat and unfortunately 95% of street food includes meat. 😕

@@dreamsbecomewings I think they can tailor it to what you can eat, from what I heard. But I may be wrong.

Yes, sometimes this was possible. It always depends on the dish of course.

I really love those ancient temples...and it makes me really sad knowing that so many of them were blown out of history (e.g. My Son) when Americans dropped more bombs on Vietnam than during WWII. What a horrible act on civilization to bomb such sites and ancient historical artifacts.

It is a shame that some of them don’t exist any more. 😕
